Hi all,

I've been a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ for about 25 years. I'm now 66. Retired and in a rather curious marital situation. Wife decided to divorce me. She Hired an attorney who took us both for some $220,000. and never completed the divorce. Wife then decided that we would just live apart. So, I'm technically married, but not.

Anyway, I practice my worship with a Southern Baptist denominated fellowship and they have a wonderful music program and usually fairly scriptural teaching, although I've had some differences on a few theological points. One of them I have made a discussion thread about.

I pray that all of you who are children of the one true and living God appreciate His blessing each and every minute of each and every day. I always tell people who say that don't have any blessings to be thankful for to just take a breath. The fact that there is oxygen in the atmosphere for sustaining our bodies for the next 3 seconds until we take the next one...is a great blessing.

God bless,
Ted

Wow, what a situation with your wife and I can’t believe an attorney took you for that much $.
Hi stovebolts

Yes, $100,000 that each of us had put into a trust with him until fair distribution of the assets could be determined and my wife, with my being ordered to pay half, had given him $20,000 in fees and retainer. So ultimately, it turned out that we each lost $110,000. What could be more fair?

But God is good and He still provides for my every need. Fortunately, we neither one gave up all of the insurance proceeds and we both have secure, and plentiful, retirement resources. I'm still waiting to see what her next move will be, but I've relayed to her that I'm still open to working out our problems, but she isn't much receptive to that at this point. We shall see what God has planned. Thank you for your kind welcome.

God bless,
Ted

Greetings Ted, and good to see you are focusing on the positives. :)

I'll try to check out your thread later and give you a response. But for now, welcome to Christian Forums.Net. As they go, this is a relatively peaceful Christian forum, so I hope you are blessed being a member here.

God bless, and welcome once again.

Hi miamited and welcome to CF neighbor :wave2

I say neighbor as I live 2 1/2 hours from you in SC. Looking forward to getting to know you better and to share with you. I will keep your situation with your wife in my prayers and pray all will be resolved soon. You do seem to have a good attitude with what you are dealing with and God will prevail in your life.

God bless 🙏)
