A scorner hears not rebuke. ( a wise son hears his fathers instruction.)

A scorner seeks wisdom, they do not find it, knowledge is easy to him who has understanding.

The scorner is proud and haughty, he deals in proud wrath.

If the scorner is cast out, contention shall go,, strife and reproach shall cease.

Foolish thoughts are sin, the scorner is an abomination to men.

Proverbs 13:1 A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

Proverbs 14:6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

Proverbs 21:24 Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

Proverbs 22:10 Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

Proverbs 24:9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

In that day ( of Christ.) the deaf hear the words of the book, the eyes of the blind see, the meek increase their joy in the Lord, the poor among men rejoice in the Holy one of Israel, for the terrible one is brought to nothing, the scorner is consumed, all that watch for iniquity are cut off, that make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproves in the gate, turning aside the just for nothing. ( Ephesians 4:14.)

Isaiah 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
21 That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

Israel refused to receive correction, they made their faces harder than a rock, they refused to return.

They heard not, they did not incline their ear, they hardened their neck, they were spoken all of the words, but they would not hear, they were called, but they would not answer. It was said to them, they are a nation that obeys not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receives correction, truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Israel obeyed not the voice, they received not correction, they trusted not in the Lord, they drew not near to their God.

The princes of Israel roaring lions, ( 1 Peter 5:8.) the judges evening wolves.

Jeremiah 5:3 O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Jeremiah 7:26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
27 Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Zephaniah 3:2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the Lord; she drew not near to her God.

Zephaniah 3:3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.

The Apostle Paul in Acts 20, shows as soon as he departed, grievous wolves entered in among them, not sparing the flock, of their own selves men arose, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after themselves.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Apostle Paul went on in Romans 1, to show how all was revealed by the Lord, of the faith revealed for the just to walk by it, and the wrath revealed, how the ungodly hold the truth in unrighteousness, as what may be known of God was manifested, God showed the righteousness of God.

They did not like to retain God in their knowledge, ( of righteousness.) God gave them over to a reprobate mind, they are filled with unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, ( ill will.) whisperers, backbiters, hating God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventing evil things, disobedience, without understanding, covenant breakers, with no natural affection, implacable, ( strongly opinionated.) unmerciful.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 6:1, talks how the name of God and His doctrine, is not to be blasphemed.

Apostle Paul went on to show in 1 Timothy 6, if any man teaches otherwise, ( than the righteousness of God revealed.) and consents not to the wholesome words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to godliness, ( the faith revealed.) they are proud, they know nothing, they dote about questions, and strifes of words, which brings envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputes of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, to withdraw from such.

1 Timothy 6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Apostle Paul gave more for this in 2 Timothy 3, this is men being lovers of their own selves, ( Matthew 24:12.) covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, (1 Timothy 6:1. The name of God and His doctrine is not to be blasphemed.) disobedient, unthankful, unholy, no natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, ( without self control.) fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures, having a form of godliness, from such to turn away. ( 1 Timothy 6:5.)

That sort creep into houses, ( Jude 1:4. For there are certain men crept in unawares.) to lead captive silly women, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, ( of the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith.) they resist the truth, men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. ( God left them over to a reprobate mind. Romans 1:28.)

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Timothy 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Jude exhorts us to contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.

Certain men crept in unawares, before of old they were ordained to that condemnation, ungodly men turning the grace of God into lasciviousness, denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

They speak evil of things which they do not know, ( without understanding. Romans 1:31.) but they speak what they know naturally, as brute beasts, corrupting themselves, murmuring, complaining, walking after their own lusts, their mouth speaking great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration for advantage.

We are exhorted to remember the words spoken before by the Apostles of the Lord, they told us there will be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts, they separate themselves, they are sensual, they have not the Spirit. (Apostle Paul told of the wolves who entered the flock, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them Acts 20:29-30..)

Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Jude 1:17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Jude 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Peter speaks of how there were false prophets among the people, ( evening wolves among Israel. Zephaniah 3:2-3.) and there would be false teachers among us, ( wolves enter the flock, to draw away disciples after them. Acts 20:29-30.) they bring in damnable heresies, they deny the Lord who bought them, many follow their pernicious ( subtle) ways, by their deceit they speak evil of the way of truth, and through covetousness they use feigned words, ( inventers of evil things. Romans 1:30.) to make merchandise of us. ( their judgement/damnation, comes of a long time/of old ordained to this condemnation. Jude 1:4.)

They are natural brute beasts made to be taken and destroyed, ( speaking what they know naturally as brute beasts. Jude 1:10.) speak evil of the things that they know not, and utterly perish in their own corruption, they receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they count it pleasure to riot in the day time, spots and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceit feasting with you.

Peter exhorts us to be mindful of the words spoke before by the holy Apostles, by the commandment of the Apostles of the Lord and Saviour, knowing in the last days come scoffers, walking after their own lusts.

Peter speaking of Apostle Paul, ( on this same matter) speaks of the unlearned and unstable, ( beguiling unstable souls. 2 Peter 2:14.) who wrest against the words of Apostle Paul, as they do the their scriptures, to their own destruction, and seeing we know these things, to beware, to not be led away with the error of the wicked, to not fall from our own stedfastness.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

2 Peter 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

2 Peter 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Apostle John speaks of the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, not being of the Father, but being of the world.

Apostle John tells us it is the last time, we heard ( by the words of the other Apostles.) that antichrist should come,, and many antichrists were already everywhere, to know it was the last time.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
