[ Testimony ] testimony (in poem form)

"So Great A Salvation”

What I once valued so dearly in life
Just a rotting, sad pile of trash now
Chasing after all the wrong things
Hoping to find happiness somehow

Many tries, many disappointments
My answer was in front of my face
But I couldn’t see it; I was so blind
Inside, a war for control took place

Finally I gave in, I cried out to Jesus
I told him I knew my life was a mess
Within me the struggle came to a halt
I asked to be forgiven, sins I confessed

It was a day that changed my destiny
No longer did I look over my shoulder
A nagging fear that I was going to die
Danger lurking around every corner

Freedom I have in so great a salvation
I know I’m not guaranteed tomorrow
My Lord gave His life as my propitiation
So in death, the grave holds no sorrow

John 6:37 (NASB)
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.
