We have a mini-miracle happening for our son. He has suddenly developed an insatiable appetite and looks to be maybe gaining some weight back. He had lost a third of his body mass. He had dropped to near 80lbs. He was starving to death right before our eyes. He still has to blend all his food to a liquefied consistency, but he is at least eating much more. When he was nearing what looked like it could go critical, I told him he was going to have to fight for his life long enough for us to figure out what was going on and get help. He is a fighter. He has endured so much. He is the only one of our 3 kids who didn't turn on us. He said "Dad. They'll have to kill me first", I told him "Son. They almost did".
He suddenly started eating much more almost immediately after some of you said you prayed for him. Thank you SO SO MUCH.

Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ for answered prayer.

May our Almighty God continue to heal your son, lift him up for service to Him and bring joy and comfort to you and your wife.

Oh Father,

We thank you and praise you for what you are doing for daninthelionsden's son. We thank you that he is now eating more and is gaining more weight.

We continue to pray for him and his wife. We pray for their continued reliance on you. We pray for wisdom/revelation for what to pray for. We pray for a peace and understanding that only you can give.

We pray for their son. We pray his appetite increases. We pray for those treating him, and what they do will help his body fully recover. We do thank you for those treating him and their knowledge. May you guide them.

We pray for a complete restoration of their son to full health.

We pray also for daninthelionsden and his wife. This must be taking a lot out of them, physically and emotionally.
So we pray for a sleep that is restful and restoring, when they lay their head on their pillows may they give all up to you, and fall asleep quickly and when they wake up may they be refreshed and trusting in you. We pray for their emotions. That you will protect them.

Any fears that they have may them lift them up to you and leave them from you.

Finally we pray protection over them all for any attack that satan may throw at them. Holy Spirit be like a whirlwind around them, watch over them and protect them.

It's going on better than 2 weeks and our son's appetite is still going strong. My wife is making him huge dishes and can barely keep up with him. It is just astounding. Thank you all.

Hes' making up for lost time!
God is good.
There's nothing like seeing your children be healthy.
Will continue to pray for him.
 
A little update. When our son was at his worst, he was only able to drink Ensure and broth for nourishment. His weight was falling toward the 80 lb range. He is now approaching 100lbs. He is gaining weight like we thought. We couldn't get him to weigh himself because his emotional state was so shaky he felt bad news on the scale would throw him into desperation and depression. He wanted us to buy him a product called K-Bar or something like that. It is a survival food that can be melted into a liquid state so he could eat it. We were skeptical and wanted more information. Come to find out it was full of sugars and carbs....empty calories. We were able to get him to weigh himself from there and it was good news. If he can continue to gain weight then we can put off the trip to New Zealand and save money to actually move there. We just have to keep a close eye on his health......so far so good. The Lord has taught me that there are actual Christians left and that we need each other for prayer and support etc. We shouldn't just try to go it all alone. Prayer is POWERFUL.
