Hello everybody, I'm Jack Hectorman and I have been reading some of your very interesting threads here at CF, and I wanted to become a member of your fine forum. Thank you for having me, and I look forward to getting to know some of you and also to some lively and interesting discussions with fellow believers.

I have been a Christian for a long time and I love to read and study the Bible. The day after I became a Christian a very wise Christian mentor pointed me to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and the truth of those verses have been a bulwark for me as I have lived my life. (My mentor also pointed me to Luke chapter 4 , where the Lord Jesus fought off the temptations of Satan by quoting simple basic verses from God's word the Holy Bible.)

I love music and I enjoy laughing and I plan to maintain a good sense of humor on out to the very end. I am an optimist, I do not have a defeatist bone in my body. I believe "our side wins" eventually, and that makes me very optimistic and hopeful about living life and about the success of the Great Commission given to us by our Lord.

Some of my favorite words in the English language: Faith, Hope, Love, Mercy, Grace, Peace (as in Romans 5:1), Forgiveness, Resurrection (♫♫ "Because He Lives"♫♫, ~~ Music, Good Cheer, Never Ending Optimism, Postitive Constructive Attitudes, Upward Mobile, Success, Victory, Winning, Marriage, Children, Grandchildren, and Christian Family.

Thought For Today:
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich."
2 Cor. 8:9)

Thank you Jack, that's my English Mastiff, Thor (because his paws are so big that they made me think of hammers, lol!)

Edward, the English Mastiff is a magnificient animal to be sure,
I've never had the pleasure of having one around, but I have
always heard good things about the breed.

It'd be difficult not to love such a
magnificient animal.

I expect they're good watch dogs too.

/grin They probably wouldn't have to "say"
much in order to make their point.

I mean all they'd have to do is merely show
up ... LOL ... and the bad guys would get the
point right quick.

I have heard it said that some English Mastiffs get
to 260+ pounds. Thats quite a dog to be sure
