I love watching the Olympics (even curling) :)

But can anyone answer this question (I feel as if I've been in a coma):

When did they start spray painting lines on the ski and snowboarding courses? I don't remember that from previous Olympics and I'm not that into the winter sports. Is it for better visibility of the modulation of the course?
 
lol! Good work because I was wondering myself. It reminds me of the grid on the greens in some golfing games, so I was think it was to make the turns and ups and downs stand out better.

I enjoy fighting the NHL but I actually don't want to see it in international competition. It just seems more sportsmanlike to not fight and I would rather see the real hockey skills on display. The last thing I would want to have seen is Canada beat Norway 8-0 and pound a couple players into the ice. Talk about insult to injury...maybe injury to insult?

I just wish most teams were very good to even things out a little. At least the men's hockey isn't as lopsided as the women's. Wow. I think that the only reason countries other than the US and Canada have a women's team is so that there can be a tournament and they can win another medal. lol

Yeah, it was good. Canada sure outplayed them but a couple of lucky goals for US did them in (shaky goal-tending didn't help). But that's hockey and a goal is a goal. I actually think it is good that Canada lost.
 
1 & 2 in women's bobsled! And Canada beat the Russians! A silver and bronze in speedskating. A good night for Canadian olympics, finally.

That Canada/Russia game was good; too good for a quarterfinal. :gah Would rather the Russians still had a chance at a medal. :sad
 
Thanks Dude! :D I think congrats to my southern neighbours are in order as well for, once again, doing so well overall.
 
That was a great game! :thumb The sudden death goal happened so quick, I needed the replay (with slow mo) to spot the puck. :lol

I enjoy the Olympics and am a bit sad it's over. :sad
