In the books of Daniel and Revelation, Scripture shows the exact details of what is to happen on earth right before the end. But Christ can still come back at any moment. In Daniel and Revelation it speaks of the antichrist being king of the North when earth is split into 2 sectors, and then when the antichrist defeats the king of the South, there is a one world order. Jesus says the end won't come immediately, but that it is near when we start seeing the warning signs...but it isn't isn't excuse to delay obedience and give into our flesh.
Luke 21:9 NKJV
But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately."
Matthew 24:45-51 NKJV
"Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? [46] Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. [47] Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. [48] But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' [49] and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, [50] the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, [51] and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
We must remain diligent and vigilant.
Galatians 6:7-10 NKJV
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. [8] For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. [9] And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. [10] Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
And there is a way to never stumble or fall that is provided in Scripture.
2 Peter 1:5-11 NKJV
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, [6] to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, [7] to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. [8] For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. [9] For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. [10] Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; [11] for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Remember, we are looking for New Heavens and a New Earth. We get water for eternity, the heathen don't. Jesus says to rejoice when we are persecuted and evil spoken of falsely for His sake. And remember this, we won't even remember this old existence.
Isaiah 65:17 KJV
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
