Hello all. 'Thas been ages when I last wrote.
Are demons and the devil really ugly and fierce looking? Why do books and movies portray them as very ugly and terrifying?

I was told when the devil was cast out of heaven his beauty was taken away...but God allowed him in possession of his power only.

To those who have eyes but do not see, demons appear seductive so that their victims invite them in. Think Dracula.

Out ward appearances can be misleading
2 Corinthians 11:14 (NASB)
14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

When I was a child I was afraid of Frankenstein......... When I matured I found the greatest evil are those that look just like us

Evil and good can appear in almost any fashion. I don't think it's like in the movies where the bad guys are strange looking or sinister looking, or that the good guys are beautiful people that also second as models. But in general I think we put them as ulgier as a means to show a on screen version of distaste to the evil acts portrayed.
