Heb 13:

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

rev 13:

8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

What is this everlasting covenant ? It has been in effect since the OT is sure from David's acknowledgment of it. 2 sam 23:

Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

The Covenant was actually Made with Davids Lord, but it was revealed to him as a partaker and beneficiary of the covenant..

The Covenant [ before creation] was entered into by God the Father and His only begotten Son, the God Man, The Lord Jesus Christ, and witnessed by God the Holy Ghost, whereby the eternal purpose of God was determined, which is called in scripture His determinate counsel as in acts 2:

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Whereby in the purpose of redemption, to Glorify the Person of the God Head, and make manifest His glorious attributes, a covenant from everlasting was entered into, that for the sake of Gods chosen ones, who would sin in Adam their natural head, and become exceedingly sinful, that their restoration would be would be His [ the only begotten Son] responsibility, as He covenanted to be their surety as He was setup as their Head, becoming personally liable for their sins and transgressions, and this before the world was created and before their natural head Adam had been formed from the ground, and before they had any physical existence in flesh and blood..

It is for this cause, God reveals this as the blood of the everlasting covenant, and why its written that Christ was slain from the foundation, and its beneficaries are those whose names had been written in the book of life from the foundation..

The blood of the everlasting covenant is also revealed as the blood of the new covenant, which Christ shed for the many matt 26:

28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

And which He was the Mediator of per heb 12:24

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

This is very enlightening, because if He is the Mediator of the New Covenant, then He is the

Mediator of the everlasting covenant, and as such He was God Man before creation, because its written

1 tim 2:5

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

It was as the Mediator God Man that the Lord Jesus christ entered into the engagments of the everlasitng covenant, to become as men and shed His blood for the sheep..

In one sentence, what is the point ?

Its gospel truth..rev 14:6

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

The everlasting gospel is premised upon the everlasting covenant..

God justifies us through the blood of Jesus.

God sets us apart/sanctifies us for the priesthood, under Jesus, through the blood of Jesus.

A two-edged sword of truth concerning the blood of Jesus Christ.

We are God's workmanship, through the blood.

Wow, it's too bad you didn't mention the rest of the first angels message in Three Angels' messages. Verse 7 matches the seal of God found in Exodus 20:8-11.

V7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

RND,

This judgment is the judgment of the great whore, who is all of us who have been betrothed to Christ, and yet we have been unfaithful to him, and have gone after other spiritual lovers.

When God judges us, he chastens us, and burns away the prophets and unclean spirits from us, after he has cut off from us the names of idolatry. This all comes to us through the fountain for sin and uncleanness as God gives us to mourn for him who our sins have pierced, as one mourns for an only son. Then all the tribes of the earth mourns.

I'm of a mind to believe it is God opening up the record of His character and His government and thus allowing Himself to be judged.

I don't see that in the 3 angels messages.

The everlasting covenant or covenant of grace is a mutual agreement of which God the father entered with His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost being a witness [ 1 jn 5:7], before the foundation of the world, in respect to the salvation of His elect, Jesus being anointed to be their mediator [ prov 8:23, 1 tim 2:5 ] in which He willingly agreed to be their head and surety and representative.

Scripture is clear that Jesus stands related to a covenant that brings salvation to all men [ elect jews and gentiles] as seen Here isa 42:

6I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

7To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house

The Father here says to His Servant Son after promising Him protection and to keep Him during His engagement, that He would be given [ not offered] for a covenant of the people, for a light unto the gentiles; zacharias, Johns Father prophesied about this everlasting covenant in lk 1:

67And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

70As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

75In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

76And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

79To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Please note especially vs 72, 77, 79..

Also the prophecy of Simeon in lk 2:

30For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

31Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

32A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

Notice how in each passage the one in isa, and these two in lk that they all refer to light unto the gentiles..
