Luke 17:34-37 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left." And they answered and said unto Him, "Where, LORD?" And He said unto them, "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles (vultures) be gathered together."
Some teach that this refers to believers being "taken" in the rapture but....is it? They are taken, "in that night." The darkness is Satan's time but we are children of the Light, and that Light tell us, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." [John 8:12] This is the same "night" in which the five foolish virgins listened to false doctrine....
Matthew 25:5-6 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, 'Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.'
All ten virgins loved Him and yet....five were foolish. They listen to false teachers telling them lies. We will not know nor will we be told when the hour is so it will not be announced, a cry won't be made. And we are told, "then if any man shall say unto you, 'Lo, here is Christ,' or 'there;' believe it not," [Matthew 24:23] so we don't "go ye out to meet him."
In that night, the great tribulation, many will fall for the deception....they shall be taken! "Where," the apostles asked....He answered, "wheresoever the body is" the vultures will gather. What body? There is the body of Christ, the spiritually alive and the body of Satan, the spiritually dead....the carcase:
Matthew 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles (vultures) be gathered together.
