The book of Enoch....

Anyone read this? What did you think? I think this book is the most interesting thing I have ever read in my entire life. It's like revelation times 10. The only reason I see as to why this was left out of the Bible is because it wasn't very fruitful. IMO I think God knew that talk of giants and monsters would have taken away from what the Bible teaches, which is your relationship with the Lord.

If you haven't read I suggest you do. It totally blew my mind. Things in that book fit perfectly with other things in Revelation. It's crazy.

Its a good book and pretty trippy to say the least.....

All those fallen angels and the knowledge they possesed....

WOW!

It's crazy to imagine angels creating another species by breeding women.

Also, where did Goliath come from if through the flood God wiped out every one of those giants and monsters? I know Goliath was a descendant of giants, but where if they all died?

i reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally need to read the exact text...where did u get it???????????????????????

"There were giants in the earth in those days (the days before the flood) AND ALSO AFTERWARD (after the flood) when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men..." (Gen.6:4)

It also states the height of these giants (corresponding to Gen.6) was "3000 ells". As far as I have been able to determine the length of a "ell", that would make them over 11,000 feet tall!!

Obviously this is ridiculous

3,000 cubits it says. 3,000 cubits is 250 feet. I don't think that's hard to imagine because it's hard enough imagine giants period, and monsters.

The translation I used says "ells", but regardless, the ancient cubit is generally agreed to be approximately 1 and 1/2 feet (the length from the elbow to the fingertips of the average man) 3,000 cubits would be 4,500 feet not 250. But even 250 feet tall would be nonsense.

Why is it nonsense? Are dinosaurs nonsense too?
