The Boston Yankees

When I was growing up in the sixties, I witnessed the New York Yankees at the end of their glory years. They had had Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Joe DiMaggio, and now they had Mickey Mantle. Since then they have been in a state of constant demise, as you all know.

Certainly soon they will be purchased by new owners, perhaps people from the city of Boston. Likely then they would move the team to Boston, which I’m sure would please the people of that city.

It is only with great sadness that I began this thread.

Actually, a move to Boston might do the Yankees a lot of good. It would be an opportunity to get a new start.

If I can get Vic to sign off on this, I will call some wealthy friends of mine in Boston and have them move the Yankees to Boston before the season starts.

What a day it will be for baseball!

We will build them a ballpark that resembles the park Ruth used, with the short right-centerfield fence.

I suppose the next thing to do is purchase some ballplayers. We would offer contracts only to the best available.

It’s not a theory. I’ve already made the arrangements to have the Yankees moved to Boston.

I don’t think we’ll call them the Yankees anymore.
