Copied from an Ektachrome slide.

When Casey was born, Mrs. B.'s mom expressed sympathy that she didn't have a girl. Mrs. B said "I have three sons!" About ten years later, she finally got a girl. About ten years after that, another girl.

She was amused when she showed up at the OB clinic, and the receptionist said "Today is only for expectant mothers."

Sean is old enough to be Meagan's dad. But it turned out to be a blessing. Sean was a source of strength and help for his sister at a time when she was going through a very hard period in her life.

Friend of mine had twin daughters when the youngest of their original 3 sons was a sophomore at university (the oldest was finishing grad school, the middle son was a senior at university). Those 3 young men were excellent big brothers for their little sisters, so I can understand how Sean was excellent with Meagan.

It's wonderful that your family is close, despite the differences in ages, Barbarian :wave2

The boys, when they were at home, used to take Meagan (who was early elementary school age) out to miniature golf, movies, etc. Her mother was so proud of them for being such great brothers. But Casey admitted that wasn't the only reason.

Girls, seeing them, would come over. "It is so nice of you to bring your little sister with you!" Chick magnet, it turns out.
