That was the fun of "The Carol Burnett Show." They tried to make each other laugh. That was one of the funnest shows ever.2
That was good! There were a few times when it looked like the actors had a hard time trying not to laugh.

Do you remember when color television first came out?Bonanza was one of the first shows in color. If you were to see it today you would think it was really, really bad.We thought it was great.Even though the faces were greenThem were the days. There were so many good shows, and some in color.
Me too. TV stations had both type cameras in its early days, and one time there was a movie filmed in Tecnicolor; a process of filming rare in the early days, but it was advertised on the introductions. Uh-oh, there were using their Black & White camera, so I called the station, they switched cameras and I saw the movie in color. Wow, we had just gotten our first color TV and I wasn't settling for anything less if i could help it. The green faces you mention were due to poor separation of colors on the old CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) screens, especially when showing Black and White.Do you remember when color television first came out?Bonanza was one of the first shows in color. If you were to see it today you would think it was really, really bad.We thought it was great.Even though the faces were green
I wish they had shows on like this today that were just funny without a agenda of some sort. Sometimes we just need to laugh.Them were the days. There were so many good shows, and some in color.
My family and I would sit around the set and say "WOW look at that".They are not on this earth now.I can't imagine what they would say about the technology today.Me too. I do not know.I have not had television reception for quite some time.I used to watch some of those shows that you watch.I got so tired of the programming on my local stations, that I decided to make my own TV schedule. I went online and bought TV series I knew I liked on DVD. I watched one episode a day 6 days a week (took a day off each Sabbath). It's less expensive than cable (which is often re-runs and not anything on in spite of having scores of stations) and you never miss anything. My TV schedule is as follows:
Sunday - Leave it to Beaver
Monday - I Dream of Jenie
Tuesday - Cheers
Wednesday - The Addams Family
Thursday - The Andy Griffith Show
Friday / Saturday (depending on when the Sabbath starts / ends) - The Brady Bunch
Those are the ones I'm watching now. In the past I've watched...
Gomer Pyle USMC
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Gilligan's Island
Faulty Towers
Hallelujah (A British sitcom involving the Salvation Army)
Hogan's Heroes
The Big Bang Theory
As you can see, most of these are pretty old, but a few are newer. For some reason, I seem to like the older shows better. The same applies to movies. Is that just me, or are the old shows and movies actually better?
