I got so tired of the programming on my local stations, that I decided to make my own TV schedule. I went online and bought TV series I knew I liked on DVD. I watched one episode a day 6 days a week (took a day off each Sabbath). It's less expensive than cable (which is often re-runs and not anything on in spite of having scores of stations) and you never miss anything. My TV schedule is as follows:
Sunday - Leave it to Beaver
Monday - I Dream of Jenie
Tuesday - Cheers
Wednesday - The Addams Family
Thursday - The Andy Griffith Show
Friday / Saturday (depending on when the Sabbath starts / ends) - The Brady Bunch
Those are the ones I'm watching now. In the past I've watched...
Gomer Pyle USMC
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Gilligan's Island
Faulty Towers
Hallelujah (A British sitcom involving the Salvation Army)
Hogan's Heroes
The Big Bang Theory
As you can see, most of these are pretty old, but a few are newer. For some reason, I seem to like the older shows better. The same applies to movies. Is that just me, or are the old shows and movies actually better?
