The Chronicles of Narnia - movie trailer premiere

Yeah. I liked the trailer a lot so I will probably be going to this. I liked the cartoon version. I tried to show the British version to the kids, but they got very bored. (I kind of did also watching it.) So this one looks good.

I remember watching the original when I was little... I've seen it at least 5 or 6 times. I used to love it so much, but could never watch the scene where Aslan is slain. I don't know why, but I would always have to leave the room at that point. In fact, I don't think I've actually EVER seen that scene. Perhaps this will be my chance. :D

I saw the cartoon once when I was little (we were in Canton, Ohio at the time) and I loved it, but in all those years all I could ever remember was the title. Later I began to work in a Christian book store in Philadelphia and that's where I discoverd that there was a series. I bought all seven books for my kids (and of course I read them myself). Now I'm rather excited to see the movie this christmas. I hope Disney does a good job because I'm also a C. S. Lewis fan (for lack of a better word at the moment), many of his other christian books are excellent reads.

BTW: C. S. Lewis was a former atheist. (things that make you go hummmmm!

I haven't seen the trailer, but my dad used to read the books to us. I'd like to see the movie. I hear it's supposed to be good.

If they can carry off this series, within seeming corny, it will be a certifiable miracle.

If they do manage to do so, it will then be interesting to see how the Christian themes imbedded in the allegory will be handled.

A rekindled interest in CS Lewis means a rekindled interest in all of his writings. If this movie is successful and not schmaltzy, and carries forth the full weight of Lewis' Christian convictions, we may see many good results beyond the joy of good story-telling.

i find it very funny that people who believe lord of the rings / D&D / harry potter are from the devil but have no problem with movies like the cronicles of narnia. :)
