Revelation 3:7-13 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

“‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you. Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

It's divinely simple. Those who belong to the church of Philadelphia have kept Christ's words and have not denied his name.

If you call yourself a Calvinist, Cesassionist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian etc etc you do not belong to the Church of Philadelphia for you have denied his name. You belong to the other churches.

Use your logic and reason to figure out then who are those that belong to Philadelphia.

Haha follower I am not well versed in all branches and movements. But the church of Philadelphia sure follows Jesus Christ only. And also for sure many times you put a smile in my face. God Bless You!

You know I think a good litmus test for being in the church of Philadelphia is to fully internalize the epistle to the church at Colossae.

Anyway from 1 Kings 19:18 "Yet I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him."

Ah to be part of the faithful remnant. What a prize. You know I was once in a gathering of those folks that follow the teachings of watchman Nee and witness Lee. This elder comes up and starts blurting out loud a prayer: Lord help me be a Philadelphian and not a Laodicean. Now when I think of it, I always chuckle. Anyway, nice to hear from you follower.

By the way from Revelations 19:11-13 "Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God."

Also from Revelation 3:12 "The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name."

Jesus Christ is The Word Of God. And the ones in the Church of Philadelphia follow The Word Of God. Yet, they cannot label themselves explicitly for The Word Of God shall write on them at the right time and place His new name which no one knows but Him.

T. S. Eliot has a poem called "Choruses From The Rock". I disagree with many parts from the poem, but this part I am quoting is spot on:

The Eagle soars in the summit of Heaven,

But the church of Philadelphia sure follows Jesus Christ only.

Accepting this truth, does not change the truth about faithful anabaptists; however we are not able to freely discuss this out in this forum as too many tares are standing watch, guarding the things that are instead of Christ. Would that there were a place that we could follow Jesus together , but to name such a place marks it and makes it immediately a target for innumerable enemies.
