I thought this would be a good thread for asking questions and making comments about appropriate behavior at the country club.

For instance, I was wondering what color of tie is appropriate to wear to the country club on Thursday nights when lobster is being served.

In this context it might be an establishment whose membership is limited to those who strive for social correctness.

We need some rules in this country club:

Men will wear suits, women will wear dresses.
No one will raise their voices.

Sewing

Olives will be provided during the afternoon social hour. Each member may have one.

No one is to raise their voice or laugh audibly during the dinner hour.

yes they do this in country clubs here.
