Hi,
I'm writing a worship album and would like to ask some advice on specific parts of the bible. I have posted it here instead of the Music part of the site as I wont ask about anything relating to the actual music. I just want to get a good knowledge and understanding of the scriptures so not to write something inappropriate. Before I continue I must tell you that I am fairly young in my walk with Christ and I'd like to have a better understanding of scripture, but that will come in time, I know. So here goes:
I want to write about the Day of the Lord. I understand it as the second coming of Christ where he will reign on earth for a second time, but this time 'every knee will bow, every tongue confess he is Lord'. To me this will be a day of great rejoicing!
However, I have also read that it is a time to be fearful as God will invoke his wrath upon us. The following scripture indicates we will all be tremble:
“Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand†(Joel 2:1)
This has left me a little confused. Could anyone clarify or give me some more information on the Day of the Lord, the second coming of Christ, please? I don't want to write anything without understanding it first.
Many thanks and blessings
Steph
