Lu:17:22: And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

Their are some people who practice spiritualism that will attempt to see one day or the other of the Son of man. It's not a safe practice because if you do tap into anything it's certainly not going to be truth. These seductive spirits lead men away by appearing as the truth and also by giving them authority and power.

Spiritualism and the esoteric teachings are not Christian. You can not apply them to Christian worship. If we try to apply these things then we are not opening the door for Jesus we are still paying homage to satan and he still has reign over the situation.

2Co:11:14: And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

I noticed the same. Spend some time on forums/blogs that follow up with the latest endtime deceptions. One of those cases is the latest comeback of Bentley / Joyner where unusal things happen/happened on stage on an ongoing basis. Some kind of spiritual possession that remind more of the occult than anything that would be discerned as being Holy.

Yesteday I read an old article (1999) about Joyner at www.deceptioninthechurch.com/joyner.html where I suddenly saw a few things. The foundation got corrupted somewhere along the way. That's what can happen when someone that challenges God's law already in book of the Genesis wants to tap into the realm of the spirit. When the foundation is wrong we will be spiritual alright, but it has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit.

Joseph R. Chambers about the "New Paradigm":

"The New Agers have learned that the "New Paradigm" cannot be experienced until the old fundamental truths are destroyed. Every idea of Scripture has got to be seen in a new light. Everything must change. All great doctrines must be understood by a new revelation. That's what a new "paradigm" means. The same Jesus, the same Bible, the same experiences, but all seen with a new "world view." These teachers can teach for hours saying all the familiar words, but introducing you to a totally new Jesus or Christ that is false and from the Devil himself."

Jude:1:3: Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

2Tm:4:3: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2Pe:2:12: But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

De:8:3: And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Am:8:11: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

You should first define what you even mean by "spiritualism" since it can have many different meanings.

Maybe mysticism is a better word.

Maybe. So are you referring to Christian mysticism/spirituality?
