We all see the trouble that this nation is in economically. Many people are losing their jobs. Very few jobs are even open. We are all and have all been blaiming President Bush. Yes he had his part in all of this as has the wicked government for many years. but now let us take a look at the real problems hear in the united states of the oppessed.

1. We have become a nation of greed.

2. We have become unthankful.

3. We have taken want and made it need.

4. The killing of babies every year in this country.

5. We have kicked God out of our schools and lives and then turn and blaim him for the things of wickedness that happen there.

6. This nation has become a nation of convenience.

7. Business has taken up our time with family, Christ and being good parents.

8. Christianity has been made a business rather than the truth of peace, joy and salvation in Christ our king.

9. We pick the leaders of our country and when they are corrupt we claim that God put them there. Yet they are chosen by popularity and money they promise us.

10. Rather than teaching abstinance until marriage. we teach, just dont get pregnant.

11. Homosexuality has become a good thing.

12. Rather praying and asking the lord to give us wisdom to help people. we shut them in institutions and use mind controlling drugs on them.

13. We have taught the prosperity of material things as a show of true faith. In this we have taught to shun those that have nothing. we look down on them rather than lifting them up. Sure there are places that serve food and offer shelter and clothing. But they will not invite you to their friends and family.

This nation has become a pagan nation. Yet we think that we are worthy of all blessings. We are never told about repentence, even in the churches today. Comfort in wickedness has became a must to live and breath in this nation. If it is evil in the sight of God we have come to call it good. Then we call good wicked.

We pray for revival in our economic situation. But refuse to pray for the repentence of our leaders and fellow americans in this nation. We tell people they will get a raise on their jobs, rather than tell them that sin leads to death. We tell people about our denomination, rather than telling them of Christ and what he has done.

Romans 10:17- Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the word was God.

John 1:14- The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

If Jesus Christ is the word then i feel safe to say that we should tell of his greatness. That many can come to know him not our denominations, buildings,or congregations. Our faith in a man is not going to save us.

If we want God to bless this nation. It is safe to say that God will show mercy when we repent of the wickedness in this country. I do not believe that we are under Gods umbrella as a whole nation when all these things are alright and Gods wrath will consume us as a nation. Then the first ? that will be asked is " WHERE IS GOD ON THIS?" , sadly we removed him from the head of the churches, schools, government and even in our own lives. Mainly for the name of the almighty dollar bill.

We are a nation that needs repentence and a true change in heart, mind and soul. This change cant come from man. It only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. This is what we all need to know.

People need hope in Christ not more money. There is nothing in the word of God that states that what we have or dont have is a sign of how true we are with the Lord.

You are all welcome to comment or discuss openly.

Your Brother in Christ,
Chris

All such nations as this one, go into the same condition of disrepute. God raises up nations such as Rome, for a special purpose. And I truly believe he raised this one up, but that purpose has been fulfilled.

Notice after the Second World War, the US has been in a steady moral decline. Things have gone from bad to worse, and the morality of the US is abhorrent. Commercials on Tv now carry products, that were hardly mentioned in private 50 years ago; much less flaunted.

Not only has the US corrupted itself with wantonness, but has spread that corruption to much of the rest of the world. God to most people in this country is their Local Bank, and a bunch of dead presidents. Most of the Churches have become social clubs, where political correctness rules.

You don’t mention sin, or hell, that would be depressing. And you only pay lip service to God, less it might make you start to think of your condition.
Any old Gospel is ok, as long as nothing in it says you have to change. OSAS is the rule now, according to that you can live like Hell, and still go to Heaven. Unfortunately that is not true, but Satan has convinced the majority that it is; just as he did Eve.

I am afraid it is too late for Babylon, and God has tired of it. The best thing you can prey for now is your Salvation, and be ready to meet Jesus when he comes. I really feel that day is not very long in coming, and today is the day of Salvation.

amen brother samuel. all the prophecy in the bible is now being seen carried out. though none of us know when the lord is coming back we know that he is and it is soon. i think the one thing that has been bothering to me though is how many people have hardened their hearts to the gospel. i know that the word of god states this is going to happen. but now it seems as though no one i mean no one wants to hear the gospel anymore. something i think i need to spend some time in prayer with.

People have become so involved in their everyday lives, and the want of things. Its like a doctors appointment, you make it, and maybe it is a few weeks or days away. And as the time draws closer, you dread it so much, you begin not to try to remember it. You know its coming, but its better not to think about it.

The same as it is with the Gospel, people know the end is coming “somedayâ€Â. But better not right away, because I want to spend more time buying things. So the less they hear of it, the less they have to think about it.

That unfortunately does not change the facts, everything that has to be for the Lord to return; is in fact in place. Now we can’t put a year, month, or day, in place for his return. But as Jesus said in Matthew 24, when you see the trees put forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

As we look at the World events of the day, we also know. And I am afraid the US, has the most ungodly man in the White House that has ever been there. I still wait to see the outcome of that.

Some really good and true thoughts here - well-expressed post you started, Chris. :thumb

My burden is to stand in the gap in intercession. It's dry, dry spiritually, this society. And people definitely call good evil and evil good. The church is, well (and I mean small "c" church; the organization)...the church is sick and incapable. I am ashamed to be associated with what many who call themselves "Christian" really represent. But as long as God is listening, I'm going to intercede. As Oswald Chambers said, "Prayer is the real work."

God through Moses, told the Children of Israel....

Deuteronomy 31:20-21
20 " For when I bring them into the land flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to their fathers, and they have eaten and are satisfied and become prosperous, then they will turn to other gods and serve them, and spurn Me and break My covenant. NASU

Centuries later, and we repeat history all over again. Human nature never learns. OH, we change the form and do it 'different' or make excuses as to WHY it didn't work out....

BUT, there is help....help from the babe that was born in a barn, where the cattle eat....
The way of LOVE and TRUTH, through repentance and Faith, death and resurrection!

In the past few years God has used many trials to build my faith in Him, and to teach me to fear Him. He has shown me that He is always doing me good, and furthering His kingdom. I have been a hard-headed daughter for so long, and yet He has never ceased to be faithful and loving toward me. He has taken the time to teach me...and to help me unlearn so much of this world's teaching, and I would do it all ten times over for just a taste of what He has done in my life. I just praise God for those trials, and for His grace.

I accept that I have contributed to the situation in our nation by not doing the 'work' of prayer that Ivy mentioned, and by being focused on my self instead of using my gifts in a sincerely loving way. Complacency also marks a great deal of my life, when I should have been caring about what God desires and how I could lay all of my life down for Him, I sought my own. I think the thing I lacked the most was love, love from the place in me where God dwells, and it took God to shatter me...more than once...to just begin to understand that. It is hard to express the joy I feel about all of this, to express the love that He has flooded my soul with. It's a love for my brothers and sisters, for this lost world, and for Him. What's most mind-boggling is that even though I feel He has given me more love than I can contain, I still lack so much!

I think that this economic crisis is so important for the changing of people's hearts...for turning the hearts of the fathers back to their sons, and the sons back to the fathers. It is God's way to help us, His children, come to repentance, praise God! God can use this to teach His children how to follow Him, and make us known to the world by our love for each other. It give us an opportunity to be a light, to show His hospitality and love, to heal the sick and help the poor, to love our enemies, to stand for truth, to work, work, work in our Father's business. It's an awesome opportunity to share God's amazing love, His Gospel, and while I find myself enduring economic problems, and while I am so sorry for those who are struggling around me, I still find myself praising Him and thanking Him. I find myself begging Him to use me, and show me how I can serve others and love more. This is Him, all Him, because I am dead.

It's my prayer that families will be drawn closer, believers will be drawn nearer to our Lord, the brethren will begin to be a family that cares for one another's needs, neighbors will be helpful and concerned, people will begin to realize what's really valuable again, and our security will be found in something other than money or government funds.

I just loved reading the posts here, it is so true, and I have been a sinner and a contributer to all the problems I read about, but I hopeful. If Jesus comes today, or tomorrow, I want to be ready...I can't wait to see Him. The Lord bless all of you.

a very powerful testimony on so many levels. lovely the lord has shown you things and made you better in them. we have all contributed to this crisis in our greed and selfish desires. this is why Jesus died on the cross for us. so that we can be saved and brought into the light. thank you for sharing what the lord has put on your heart to share.

to help me unlearn so much of this world's teaching

So good, lovely; Oswald Chambers taught that it's the unlearning that's the most important thing, and by my experience, I agree with this!

Complacency also marks a great deal of my life, when I should have been caring about what God desires and how I could lay all of my life down for Him, I sought my own. I think the thing I lacked the most was love, love from the place in me where God dwells, and it took God to shatter me...more than once...to just begin to understand that.

Another excellent thought, lovely!

my question is this...i think there is going to be inflation in usa as obama prints money for the bailouts and social progames therefor people need to buy gold or if you are poor buy coinsilver (canadian coinsilver may be a better buy)...when inflation hits there will be a rush by the countries and people of the world to sell their usa dollars further deflating the us dollar. as a canadian will our canadian dollar also be deflated making it a good move for me to buy silver or should not make that move?

I do think an economic collapse may be something this country needs. People have come to put so much value in money and material possesions that as the O.P. said, if you're not keeping up with the Jones's you're looked down upon and considered an outcast. All this isn't anything new, it's probably been going on since the dawn of time. It just seems like it's gotten worse lately: we need to have a big screen T.V.; we need to have cable or satellite with TiVo. A 1200 sq. ft. house isn't good enough anymore, now the average house is about 2300 ft^2.

i totally agree. i think we in america have become quite spoiled, and i would love to see how we as a nation would act without anything. that would be quite interesting to see. i am praying for it. the sad thing about this is how we talk about how rich christians are and should be, why dont they try to teach this to christians in sudan, ethiopia, malaysia.....etc.,
