The Empowerment of The Royal Law

James 2:8 kjv
8. If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9. But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

This needs more verses later.

Mark 12:28 kjv
28. And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this isthe first commandment.
31. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

These are positive stated here, but as negatives elsewhere.

I hope we can see how these are accomplished

Hidden In Him try and give me a few days start LOL. You may have to Moderate later.
Give others a chance to post LOL

The Old Testament does not, IMHO, supply the power for these to work.
They work by what Jesus fulfilled.

Are they listed in the Old Testament? Yes.

We have a lot of scripture listings to cover.

Leviticus 18:19 kjv
19. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Here is a negative statement about the Royal law. Why? IMHO the power to deal with the neighbor is not yet given in the OT.

It is a bit like the Messiah not yet having yet come.

It is not yet to when the prophets start telling of the lay placed in hearts and minds.

Jeremiah 17:9 kjv
9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Not yet anyway.

Paul has a good grip on the natural man and the new man’im Christ.

Many say the Holy Spirit was not active working in the born again old testament saints until Pentecost. . a false division.

The old testament supplies the prophecies that speak of the promised work of the sufferings of Christ beforehand and the glory that did follow.

First, demonstrated in the garden of Gethsemane. . the beginning of the three day and night suffering demonstration of the exclusive two. Putting to sleep the other three apostles .fulfilling the prophecy to those who looked ahead by the faith of Christ.

Then part two they moved to the hill the bloody demonstration to the whole word giving the illusion it was the crowd that did the work of bruising the heel crushing the head of the serpent. The dynamic dual .

Again promised in Genesis 3:15 as well as Isaiah 53. I will strike the Son. Three is a crowd, then thy moved to the final denomination the Tomb the demonstration of faith (unseen)

The old testament born again saints received the end of their new born again faith (salvation) from the beginning by the same Spirit of power of faith as us. . . we can look back by Christ's faith they looked ahead to the promised glorious demonstration

1 Peter 1:9-11 Receiving the end of your (new born again) faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

I am IMHO convinced that all the Old Testament saint were saved when Jesus preached the Gospel to them in Abraham’s Bosom (Prison / grave). We can discuss more.

There is just one name under Heaven to be saved by. That name is Jesus.

Healing was active in the Old Testament, but IMHO, salvation awaited Jesus completing his work (Isaiah 53). For that matter the prophets did almost / all (?) the spiritual gifts in the Old Testament.

Many OT things were shadows / types of things yet to happen. That is part of the glory of the Law.

Then as a side note, at the last trump, we are changed too.

The Royal law activity in the Old Testament:
1. The spirit of prophecy by the prophets.
2. The negative regarding israel
3. Prophets had a few spiritual gift experiences

The Royal law in the New Testament:
1. The prophecy by Sons and Daughters
2 the positive and negative regarding Jew and Gentile alike.
3. Agape your enemies
4. Young men see visions
5. Old men dream dreams
6. Spiritual gifts distributed

A great falling away prophesied
