Yup, especially when the Revelation describes a huge "city" coming down out of heaven (i.e. new Jerusalem). I used to wonder how all the armies of the Earth could think they possibly have a chance to fight against God, but after watching alien invasion movies like independence day and then considering how the return of Jesus could easily be interpreted as an alien invasion, it makes a little more sense.
