A man who had just retired decided that he would build a building next to the sea and make it a local fishing club. When the building was finished a newspaper ad was placed in the local newspaper that asked if anyone is interested in fishing, come to the fishing club. Soon there were 30 members who had signed up and paid there fees. Next it was decided that the club needed a kitchen, comfortable chairs and tables. It was decided that the club needed some books about how to fish so the club members were soon reading books. Next it was decided that the club needed a television and some fishing videos so those were brought too. After another meeting it was decided that the club needed some boats. So some boats were brought. Next it was decided that the club needed fishing rods and equipment. These were brought too. One day a neighbour to the fishing club was walking past and a big sign outside said "Fishing Club - We have been here ten years", the neighbour walked into the building where there was a man up the front talking about fish and the history of the fishing club. After the talk the man went up to meet him, the speaker asked him was he interested in fishing, the neighbour said to him: i'm not interested in fishing at all because never has anyone here caught any fish!

Sounds like the story of many churches today, many of whom have already closed their doors.

Matthew 4:19 & Mark 1:17 NLT
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!â€
