Right. I do believe that just as the flood changed the earth into what we see now, the fire that is coming will change it once again into our eternal dwelling place.

I have no clue what it will be like. I know we have some understanding of what it will look like. I do know, from being in places where fires have destroyed everything, that it changes the look of things - yet beauty comes from it.

It will be a different kind I have no doubt, but its interesting to think of nonetheless.

Knowing the parameters that the present heavens and earth have, and knowing what happened during the Flood, we can determine the parameters of the earth that it had before the flood. That is, we can determine the parameters of the world ‘that then was’ (2Pet.3:6). We need to know only one formula S = 4

The theory of a gap of Clarence Larkin was supported by Peter Ruckman later. I think there is a need to define the terms. The term 'the earth' (Gen.1:1) does not matter 'the planet', because all planets have a form. Indeed, space and matter look formless, if there is no third component, that is, energy, so God said 'Let there be light' (Gen.1:3). The count of the time was beginning from this moment.


The first "bricks" of the universe were perfect, because there was not yet a degradation of matter, there was no chaos, there was no half-life of elements. Sin 'entered into the world' (Rom.5:12) through man, but not through satan. This happened after the 7th day, and not at the beginning of the creation. A catastrophe occurred at the moment of the fall of Adam. The first and second laws of thermodynamics began to operate.

These verses speak of the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. This will be the beginning of the Millennium.

There will be global changes in the universe.
The Earth's axis will be in its place that day. The year will have 360 days, as it was before the Flood.
'Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound' (Is.30:26).

I think the error in the calculations is within a statistical error. That is about 3%
