The Gout of Daniel
The Prophesy of the 10 Toes
The rapture draws near! How do we know this? Just before God casts judgment on man's wickedness he sends understanding so that nobody will doubt the origin of the judgment. This is surely the case in the Book of Revelation. In the Book of Revelation God uses symbolism to describe mankind’s final days. While the faithful in Jesus Christ struggle to make sense of this symbolism God said that the meaning will be sealed until mankind's final judgment draws near.
First, look in the Book of Daniel and see that in the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar the 10 toes of the statue are the 10 commandments that are an integral part of Mosaic law and temple worship. In the dream the feet made of clay and iron are the Israelites during the Old Testament temple worship when Mosaic law (represented as the 10 toes) was practiced. The clay then is the Israelites and the iron is an occupation (Roman occupation during the time of Jesus Christ).
The notion of feet made of clay mixed with iron to represent God's purposeful design of weakness is not unheard of in Christendom. If one looks at 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 Paul describes his own feet made of clay and iron as the 'thorn in his flesh'. Feet that are made of clay and iron, while representative of an occupation of Israel by a foreign power, is also representative of the Christian era after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and God's purposeful design of weakness in his believers to prevent conceit and the sin of pride.
Consider also that the 5 toes on one foot of the statue is the first temple (Old Testament) and the 5 toes on the other foot is the second temple (New Testament – Book of Revelation) that is still yet to come! Together they are the 10 toes of Mosaic Law necessary in all temple worship. The first temple was solid and it represented our flesh while the second temple will be a spiritual one representing man's spirit led by the beast of the Book of Revelation. Mankind will become the second temple themselves when they receive the 'mark of the beast'. Both temples will be destroyed (solid temple of the Old Testament first then the spirit(evil) temple of the Book of Revelation thereafter) by the rock of Jesus Christ as depicted in Daniel's interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar's dream.
Also note that the 5 toes on one foot represent those commandments that pertain to man's spirit and the other 5 toes represent those commandments that pertain to man's flesh. It must be remembered that when God made man he first made his body (man's flesh) and then God breathed the breath of life into him (man's spirit). The 10 commandments are equally divided to correspond to the sinful activities of man's flesh and spirit. The two temples that usher in man's judgment will be flesh (solid) first then spiritual.
Here then is the meaning of the dragon and beast in the Book of Revelation with its 7 heads, 10 horns, and 7 crowns as described in chapters 12 and 13. The dragon represents Satan during the first temple during which Jesus Christ was born a virgin birth, died on the cross and was resurrected from the dead to be with God. The beast who is described next with the same 7 heads, 10 horns, and 7 crowns represents Satan during the second temple that is yet to come and will usher in the antichrist and man's final judgment as Satan tries yet again to imitate God - Jesus Christ.
It is interesting that the first temple is represented by an image of a Dragon while the second temple is represented by the image of a beast. Remember that God actually dwelled in the first temple but not in the second. God went from dwelling inside the temple to dwelling inside every saved person with the Holy Spirit after Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
So the End Times have arrived with all the symbols of the Book of Revelation becoming more fully understood. What is more - the rapture draws near! Be prepared for the rapture, the day God will come for his faithful so they will not be part of mankind’s final judgment. To ensure your inclusion in the rapture just believe in the death and resurrection of the true messiah – Jesus Christ!
God Bless
note:
Now for anyone to claim that they are sinless they would need to have both a sinless spirit and a sinless flesh. Because man's flesh is full of sin from the sin of Adam and Eve it is condemned to death. So if someone, like the antichrist, claims that they are sinless then they would have to prove that their flesh is sinless by not dying (or aging), hence the wound.
The fact that God uses 3 elements to describe both the Dragon and beast as having 7 heads, 10 horns, and 7 crowns arises because Satan is trying to portray himself as God. The 3 specific elements of the Dragon and beast only confirms that God is in fact a Holy Trinity {Father – Son - Holy Spirit} that Satan is desperate to imitate.
Another interesting fact is that in Matthew 8:20 Jesus Christ describes himself as having no resting place to lay his head. The meaning is that since Jesus Christ is God's son, God becoming man, and when the temple is destroyed after Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, God's presence with mankind will go from inside the temple to inside man through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ said that his kingdom is not of this world and many Christians want to believe that material possessions are an indication of God's kingdom, therefore his presence, down here on earth. When Jesus Christ told the young rich man to sell all of his possessions and follow him he meant to abandon the temple worship of God and instead worship God in spirit through a belief in him, Jesus Christ.
Many christian churches throughout history still cling to the temple worship of God through their rituals, rites, and grandiosity. When Jesus Christ spoke to that young rich man he was speaking to the future christian church that covets the vain pursuit of outward holiness. Jesus Christ was saying that no amount of material possessions that we adorn ourselves with can represent the true greatness of our God who dwells in all of his believers through the Holy Spirit.
Man is to worship God, not his possession of God. When a church, or a christian, adorns itself with material wealth, and/or ritualistic duty, it mocks God for it is showing that they have somehow purchased a better God than anyone else. When in reality it was God that purchased them (us) by sending his son into the slavery of our sins as Jesus Christ, God's own son, to become flesh like us and suffer death on the cross.
The glorious aspect of Jesus Christ is that he does not parcel out his spirit, the Holy Spirit, to all those who ask. Every person gets the same spirit that is not diminished, or increased, by any work or possessions that we may do or have. Salvation is like everyone receiving a winning lottery ticket with the exact same unimaginable jackpot. The only problem is that the lottery office, to claim our jackpot, is up in heaven waiting for our arrival upon our death.
Another interesting point is that when Jesus Christ created this world he was creating his own coffin for he knew man (Adam and Eve) would be tempted to commit sin and he would have to enslave himself in our flesh in order to save us. To glorify this world, and/or our flesh, is like glorifying God's coffin - but not God.
For God, as Jesus Christ, placed himself in our flesh, and in this sinful world, in order to redeem us from an eternity in hell apart from him. The unsaved love to adorn their own body with beauty and wealth but they do not realize that it will become their coffin in hell. Don't spend all your time and effort striving to adorn your own decrepit sinful coffin knowing that you'll be given a new sinless body in heaven while all the unsaved around you are still entombed in their sinful flesh and will be damned to an eternity in hell along with it. Look to the salvation that Jesus Christ offers that will separate you from your sinful body upon death and then you'll be given a new sinless body to be with God, forever!
