The Hour Of Temptation

Isa 16:1 Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.

who is the lamb? why is he going to the wilderness?
.
2: For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

who is moab and where is the fords of Arnon?

3: Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.

why is Moab told to hide the outcast? who is the out cast?

4: Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

who is the spoiler and the oppressor the Lord is consuming?

Isaiah 16
1 Send lambs as tribute
to the ruler of the land,
from Sela, across the desert,
to the mount of the Daughter of Zion.

2 Like fluttering birds
pushed from the nest,
so are the women of Moab
at the fords of the Arnon.

3 "Give us counsel,
render a decision.
Make your shadow like night—
at high noon.
Hide the fugitives,
do not betray the refugees.

4 Let the Moabite fugitives stay with you;
be their shelter from the destroyer."
The oppressor will come to an end,
and destruction will cease;
the aggressor will vanish from the land. There is a possibility that Isaiah 16:1 should read: 1 Send lambs as tribute to the ruler of the land of Sela, across the desert, to the mount of the Daughter of Zion.
Land of the Rock could be Australia. Note that it does not say [Mount Zion,] but Mount of the Daughter of Zion.

your version don't sound right. nor do it line up with scriptures

Isaiah version in the KJV is accurate with the rest of the word of God.

The Lamb is Jesus
The Wilderness is the wilderness of the Exodus
the outcast is Israel
Moab id in the so-called Middle East
The spoiler is Satan's Anti-Christ and there armies.

The Hour of temptation and the wilderness the place of safety during the great tribulation is a topic most Christians don't know about.

ask you Pastor about this place and watch a lie come out of his nmouth or dumbfoundness across his face.

ask about the place prepared of God!!!

Rv 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Rv 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

You need to keep in mind that our scriptures are translated or interpretated by men who are not prophets. Here, a KJV error that is easy to identify, keep it in mind that error in our bibles are possible. 1.Numbers 23:22
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

2.Numbers 24:8
God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

3.Deuteronomy 33:17
His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

4.Job 39:9
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

5.Job 39:10
Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

6.Psalm 22:21
Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

7.Psalm 29:6
He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

8.Psalm 92:10
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

9.Isaiah 34:7
And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

Place the table outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand opposite it on the south side.
Job 9:9
He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades [seven stars] and the constellations [Morning Stars] of the south.

Jesus said flee

Mt 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16: Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19: And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20: But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The Luke 21 version is more revealing...

Luke 21:20-28
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
(KJV)

Amazing that Christ gave all those events prior to verse 27-28 about the time of His coming to gather His saints, isn't it? There's no secret rapture in His Message there at all. And it's the same with the Matt.24 and Mark 13 versions, for the gathering to Him is after that tribulation.

Well that sure puts an end to any Pre Trib Rapture Theory.

Hello Veteran

Excellent posts on this topic, everything you wrote is exactly how I see it also.

I would like to offer you another analogy on this comment..........

So if you're caught 'with child' in the spiritual false worship sense, it means you've gone to the WRONG wedding and married another, instead of waiting for the True Wedding when Christ does come after those events happen.

I kind of see as if you were married and your husband went away, and when he came back you had a child, kinda like sleeping with the enemy :)..Meaning you have been unfaithful...

Again great posts,it's good to see those who understand....Feels like Im alone sometimes, even though I know Im not...

That's exactly... how our Lord Jesus meant that "woe unto them that are with child" metaphor. Our Lord and His Apostles linked it with many warnings against being deceived and falling into false worship to another. It's what Paul meant in 2 Cor.11 that we are 'espoused' to one Husband (Christ), and that he wants to present us as "a chaste virgin" to Christ. This is why Christ gave the ten virgin parable.

Here's a bit more of the metaphor He gave to those in Jerusalem...

Luke 23:27-31
27 And there followed Him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented Him.
28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

This Message was for the "Daughters of Jerusalem", which per the OT could include the people of Israel in general, not only women. Women in that crowd were crying for Him on His way to be crucified. He tells them don't weep for HIm, but for theirselves, AND for their children (their later generations).

29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, "Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck."

Then He tells them the days will come when they will say, "Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare...". Why would those weeping there and their later children say something like that some day? They will be saying blessings about the faithful who remain in Christ until His coming, who's spiritual wombs will be found barren when He returns. They'll be saying that because that's when those crying women will be found NOT barren, but instead 'with child' when Christ returns, because they did not remain chaste virgins for Christ. It means they will have bowed in false worship to another, to a false Christ that comes prior to our Lord Jesus Christ.

30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, "Fall on us"; and to the hills, "Cover us".

Not only that, but those crying will then wish for the mountains to fall upon them, and for the hills to cover them because of their shame when they discover they'd fallen to a fake Christ and were spiritually 'with child' when The True Christ does return.

There's more in that prophecy; can't just stop at verse 14.

Rev 12:13-17
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

If that were about a pre-trib rapture, then how is it that dragon is still able to cast a flood out of his mouth after the woman? What comes out of one's mouth anyway, and particularly the dragon's mouth?

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

We're being given a parallel to the flood of Noah's day, but it's not a literal flood this time. Instead it's a flood that comes out of the dragon's mouth, which again means what?

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
(KJV)

If that dragon is able to make war with the woman still, then what method of war is this pointing to, what kind of devices by the dragon?

The nourished in the wilderness idea is about the woman not being deceived by the flood which comes out of the dragon's mouth. Back in Rev.9 our Lord showed smoke, fire and brimstone that comes out of the mouths of the locust army, and that's where their power was, with their mouths. The idea is about lies of deception, and the woman being protected from that flood of lies out of the dragon's mouth. It does not mean the woman being removed off the earth to not be subject to the "hour of temptation", it means going through it, while not being tempted, because of not being decieved by that flood of lies. That's the wilderness of protection over those in Christ who wait for Him in the end of days and overcome all that.
