This is a much reduced version of a personal Bible study that I did some years ago, and I hope it will inspire you as it did me, to see what God has given us.

And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or it’s images, and not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. The invitation into the kingdom of God
Luke 14: 15-24 – Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, “Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.†He then said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, “and sent his servants at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ â€ÂBut they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ “And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ “Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ “So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ “And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ “Then the master said to his servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. ‘For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’â€Â

Mathew 5: 3,10 – “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.â€Â

Jesus represented the kingdom of God on earth
Mathew 12: 28 – “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.â€Â

Luke 17: 20-21 – Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observations; ‘nor will they say, ‘See here! Or see there.’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is @within you.â€Â

@Within you: among you or in your midst

Each Christian represents the kingdom of God
Luke 10: 9,11 – “And heal the sick who are there, and say to them, “The kingdom of God has come near you.†“The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless now this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.â€Â

In our prayer our focus should be the establishment of the kingdom of God
Luke 11: 2 – So He said to them, “When you pray, say: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.â€Â

The disciples thought that Jesus would set up the kingdom of God during their life time
Acts 1: 6 – Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?â€Â

We must be willing to give up all if it is necessary for the kingdom
Mathew 13: 45 - 46 – “Again the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.â€Â

Mathew 13: 44 – “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.â€Â

Where our heart (mind) is that is where our treasure will be also
Mathew 19: 16-22,23-26 – Then Jesus to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.†“And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Godâ€Â.

How does one see or enter the kingdom of God?
John 3:3,5 – Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly I say to you unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.†Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.â€Â

At times the people of God will suffer for the sake of the gospel
Acts 14: 22 – Strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.â€Â

The kingdom of God is not of this time or age
John 18: 36 – Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this @world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews, but now My kingdom is not from here.â€Â

@World: Greek word Kosmos, Age or Society

Parables about the kingdom of God
Mathew 13: 24-33 – Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in the field. “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. “But when the grain had sprouted and produce a crop, then the tares also appeared. “So the servants of the owner came and said to him. “Sir, did we not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’ “But he said, no, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. ‘Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.â€Â’â€Â

The kingdom of God is like leaven
Luke 13: 20-21 – And again He said, “To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leaven.â€Â

The parable of the land owner
Mathew 21: 33-43 – “Another parable: there was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. “Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. “And the vinedressers took his servants beat one, kill one, and stone another. “And again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. “Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ “But when the vine dressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ “And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and kill him. “Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?†They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.†Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes’? “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.â€Â

Jesus command His disciples to preach the gospel of the kingdom
Mathew 10: 7 – “And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.â€Â

Luke 9: 2,60-62 – He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick. Jesus said to them, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.†And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.†But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.â€Â

(Acts 8: 12) – But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

(Acts 19: 8) – And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God.

(Acts 20: 25) – And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.

(1Corinthians 6: 9-10) – Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

(1Corinthians 15: 24,50) – Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

(Hebrews 1: 8) – But to the son He says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.

(Hebrews 12: 28) – Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear.

We should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
Mathew 6: 33 – “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.â€Â

God, our Father is very happy to give us the kingdom
Luke 12: 32 – “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.â€Â

Only those who do the will of the Father will enter the kingdom
Mathew 7: 21 – “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lordâ€Â, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.â€Â

1Corinthians 4:20 – For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.

(*) Lord:
1: One having power and authority over others: a: a ruler by hereditary right or pre-eminence to whom service and obedience are due b: one of whom a fee or estate is held in feudal tenure c: an owner of land or other real property d: the male head of a household e: husband f: one that has achieved mastery or that exercises leadership or great power in some area

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the prophets and others will be in the kingdom
Luke 13: 28-29 – “There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.†“They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south and sit down in the kingdom of God.â€Â

Matthew 19: 28-29 – So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And anyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit everlasting life.

(*) Judging:
govern, rule

Who will not be in the kingdom of God?
1Corinthians 6: 9-10 – Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Man’s government will end when the gospel of the kingdom is preached into every nation
Mathew 24: 14 – The gospel of the kingdom will be preached into all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then shall the end come.

Saints will reign as kings and priest during the 1,000-year millennium with Christ
Rev.20: 4,6 – And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgement was committed to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or it’s images, and not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Nebuchadnezzar’s dream
Daniel 2: 31-45 – You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arm was of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floor; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great *mountain and filled the whole earth. This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king. You, O king, are a king of kings.
For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beast of the field and the
birds of heaven, He has given them into your hands, and has made you ruler over them all, you are this head of gold.
But after you shall arise another inferior to yours, then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters all things; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others.
Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay.
As the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile.
As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, *they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdom, and it shall stand forever.
Inasmuch as you saw the stone was cut out of the **mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great God has made known to you the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.

*They: suggest that the leaders will be under demonic control
**Mountain = Nation

A glimpse of the 1,000-year rule of Jesus and the saints

Zephaniah 3: 9-13 – For then I will restore to the people a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord, from beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, the daughter of My dispersed ones, shall bring My offering.
In that day you shall not shamed for any of your deeds in which you transgress against Me, for then I will take away from your mist those who rejoice in your pride, and you shall no longer be haughty in My holy mountain.
I will leave in your mist a meek and humble people, and they shall trust in the name of the Lord. The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness and speak no lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed their flocks and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid.

Psalm 86: 9 – All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name.

Psalms 22:27-29 – All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all families of the nations shall worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord’s and He rules over the nations. All the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him, even he who cannot keep himself alive.

Micah 4: 1- 4, 6 - 7 - Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come and let us go up to the *^mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.†For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and rebuke strong nations afar off. They shall beat their sword into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nations shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of host has spoken. “In that day says,†the Lord I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast and those whom I have afflicted; I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation; so the Lord will reign over them in mount Zion. From now on, even forever.

During the millennium (1,000 year-year rule of Christ and the saints) God will give all people His Spirit
Isaiah 44: 3 – For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring.

Joel 2:28 – And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions, and also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

All nations will find shelter under the kingdom of God
Mathew 13: 31-32 – Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air comes and nest, in its branches.â€Â

Christ and the saints will rule forever
Rev.11:15 – Then the seventh angel sounded. And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The “kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign foreverâ€Â.

Daniel 7: 18, 22, 27 – But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom ever, even forever and ever.
Until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.
Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.

Christ to give the saints power over the Nations; the saints will now have the right to rule over the Nations because they are now superior to humans and is like God and are now fully and complete offsprings of God

Revelation 2: 26-27 – And he who overcomes and keeps my works until the end to him I will give power over the Nations. He shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the potter’s vessels shall be broken to pieces. As I also have received from my Father…

The saints standing on the sea of glass

Revelation 15:2 (KJV)
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

In the vision the saints are standing on a sea of glass, which represents all the nations of the world. The earth/ nations are at peace with God and each other. The earth is so peaceful, that the sea which symbolized the nations looks like the saints are standing on a vast glass…which means that the saints are ruling over them. The fire that is mingled with the sea of glass symbolized God’s just punishment on the wicked.

Hi, BF Smith. Wow! You practically wrote a book.

Do you differentiate between the Kingdom of God (KIngdom of the heavens) Jesus preached to his own people, Israel, during his earthly ministry, and the kingdom of God Paul, our apostle writes about?

Yes, I guess you could say that, but my initial study only had one page....I just kept adding more and more as my study continued :D

They are all the same; this is one of the other reasons why Jesus came, to preach the good news, which is that His Father was inviting us into the kingdom of God. God had eternally decided that human beings would rule with Him over all things. This is an amazing thing and very few of us know what God is doing in terms of our glory to come; we are being brought into the Godhead. We will share in the most intimate relationship that from eternality only the Word, who became Jesus had with God, the Father. Being a member of the kingdom of God, gives us all the rights that God has.....the right to dominate over all things (make our presence known and seen).

Being a member of the kingdom of God we will have the right and power to do what Jesus has been doing since creation, which is to create, including the ability to create life and sustain all things. We will have limitless power and we will use it to serve/rule. True ruler ship is to serve, just as God does and we will travel the universe along with Jesus, creating and giving life on all the lifeless planets in the universe. This is why in the book of Daniel it says that the increase of His government and of peace, there will be no end....the kingdom of God has started here on the earth, in fact it has started with you, me and others, but it will continue beyond the earth out ward forever.
