I wish to make a case for the true value of prayer. I wish to make a case for how a single prayer is in many cases hugely inconsequential, and the historical strength of those who committed to longer term prayer with passion...

"Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. " - OH The Spiritual powers that We Wage War Against ^^. There are very few glimpses such as this in the Bible. And with this passage i am merely showing the strength of the spiritual battle, It is interesting to note Daniel had been mourning 3 weeks, not eating any tasty foods, alcohol, or using any ointment, supposedly praying for knowledge and understanding.

- It is not against physical powers that we wage war but against spiritual powers and principalities and the powers of darkness in the heavenly places. Perhaps over History meaningful prayers have fallen short of breaking a spiritual power, heavenly answers to prayers have been stopped by the spiritual forces of this world, perhaps heavenly answers have been rejected by those to whom they were meant. Because the praying person prayed only once for what he desired.

Note also the passion also of the greats, of Daniel. of Jesus, "Jesus was heard because of his loud cries and supplications".

It is my firm belief that the greatest spiritual revivals have come about from individuals or groups that set out to pray with all there hearts and faith, with blessed love for there fellow men, for a prolonged time... and that this is a great secret and a huge strength. What do you think God wants us in his superior vision to add to our prayer repertoire? His Kingdom and deliverance from evil for the brethren, is mandatory almost, considering Jesus said "this is how you should pray" and its a daily prayer. Lets all the believers pray this more with passion, as we wait to look into the face of Him who leads us. Lord, thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Deliver us from the evil one please. Amen. (LOLL ive never typed to God before i dont think, that felt pretty freakin cool haha ima find a way to put him on my messsenger type some more. I love him far more than my other messenger friends, er no offense, why shouldnt i be able to log onto messenger and type to him, maybe send emails OOOOOH, longer more thoughtful ^^)

"Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'

4"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "

6And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

p.s. can anyone add, i'd especially like to hear of anyones theories/suggestions/possibilities about spiritual realities and angels or other means God answers prayers with. Also if anyone knows other cases where a prophet has dedicated himself to prayer for a period of time and God has answered strongly, it would really open my eyes more to this wonderful spiritual reality, so please respond.

Prayer is one thing, but seeking the Lord in prayer is quite another. If one prays diligently then God will respond. However, one must give 100%. Anything less will not make God intervene.

I myself have had many fervent prayers answered...I began my walk by being baptized in light and walking that way for days after crying out to the Lord from my bed. I have been to the throne room, and experienced a variety of visions. There are too many experiences to list. But these span over a 30 year period...so they don't happen every day. Grace is heavenly power! I have received this power many times as well. It seems to leak out after a time. Or maybe it gets used up. I am presently gearing up to cry out for a fresh outpouring of grace. This can't be done by our own will....it must come from deep within. Pray for God's grace.

Prayer works....praying hard really works! :yes
