I have slowly been learning that, the more attention that you give to the Lord...the more attention He gives you. I think you all know that, awhile back I took to inviting the Lord to accompany me to work, and anywhere I have to go, out into the world...
Today was no exception. I worked today, and as usual me and the Lord went together. I talk to Him more and more when out and about. At first, when I began inviting the Lord to go with me to work, We would talk in the truck while driving to different jobs, but once on the jobsite, I engage my trade and work...largely forgetting the Lord's presence, unless I hit a snag and get a little frustrated and ask for His help...but that is slowly changing to chit chatting most of the day while I work. Even when things are going well. We're sort of partners and I have been noticing that it is getting easier to hear His voice within me, and to discern when He is helping me or guiding me, even when He is not speaking to me.
That happened today. I had a couple supernatural moments while I was working and it was immediately obvious that, the Lord just lent me a hand!
The HVAC trade has it's share of easy work, and the harder more typically a pita work also. Replacing a blower motor in a furnace or air handler is not terribly hard work, but certain aspects of the job are, more of a pain in the butt to do easily typically. Like for instance sliding the blower housing back into the unit after the motor has been changed. They do not just fall into place. Gotta kinda wiggle it in there making sure the blower housing flanges engage the metal tracks on both sides, then lift it up and slide it all the way in. Then screw it in upside down, lol, It doesn't take a long time, but they don't just fall in real easy.
But it sure did today for me. It went whoosh right in all the way. I went, huh?! That don't happen. That was the Lord helping me. Thank you Lord!! Same thing with the screws to mount it securely. There were four because this was a big motor. Took a little while to take them all out because two of them were difficult access to tools cuz the motor mounts sticking out on one side. Putting them back in went...unusually fast. Noticeable. It was late in the day and the Lord gave the grace to help it along so we could go home, lol. I didn't ask, He said nothing, but He did give me instant discernment to know...It was Him!
That made me feel soo good. Praise the Lord.
