Well, I doubt it is a parable, as the Bible says that Balaam was a real person. I'm inclined to believe that the donkey did speak, as God can do anything, however I could be wrong.

My interlinear shows 498 hits for the word "peh" (Strong: H6310), which is most translated as mouth.

Ass = donkey...... I wasn't sure from your posts that you knew that, so I just wanted to make sure. My apologies if you already knew. LOL It's just from the way things were worded I kept thinking you might think it meant something else.

If my donkey began to speak, I would certainly know that it must be God because nothing else could make it talk! I am sure I'd be a bit surprised at first, and then I might want o ask it all sorts of questions, and finally, I think I'd sit and have a good laugh about it all. I'd never sell that donkey.
