The Lords favour.

Abraham was told by God is seed shall be strangers in anothers land, and be afflicted, and then God will judge that nation, and afterwards they would come out with great substance.

Abraham appealed to the angels to not pass away from him, if he had found favour in their sight.

Joseph found grace when sold into Egypt, and was well favoured.

Genesis 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

Genesis 18:2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Genesis 39:4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

Genesis 39:6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

God speaks with Moses of the children of Israel finding favour in the sight of the Egyptians, and they shall go out not empty.

The Lord gave the people favour, and they spoiled the Egyptians.

Moses appeals to the Lord, if he has found favour to not be afflicted with the burden of all the children of Israel. ( after delivered from Egypt.)

Exodus 3:21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.

Exodus 12:36 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

Numbers 11:11 And Moses said unto the Lord, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?

Samuel grows and is in favour with the Lord.

David in Psalms speaks of the Lord blessing the righteous with favour, to be compassed as with a shield.

David sings the Psalm, of his mountain standing strong in the Lords favour, and then hiding HIs face and being troubled, David sings to the Lord to have mercy upon him to help him.

David troubled by his enemies, prays for the mercy of the Lord to raise him above his enemies, and he knows the Lord favours him, because his enemies did not triumph over him. ( Christs triumphs over his enemies, the powers and principalities.)

1 Samuel 2: 26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the Lord, and also with men.

Psalm 512 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.:

Psalm 30:7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
8 I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.
9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.

Psalm 41:10 But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

David sings a Psalm, asking will the Lord no longer be favourable, is His mercy gone forever, his promise fail for ever more, had God forgotten to be gracious, and shut up HIs tender mercies ?

David would remember the years of the Most High, the works of the Lord, the wonders of old, who had declared HIs strength among the people, who had with HIs right arm redeemed the people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph.

David sings in the Lords name the people shall rejoice all the day and be exalted in the righteousness of the Lord, as the Lord is the glory of their strength, and in HIs favour their horn would be exalted. ( David anointed among the people.)

David Psalms, for the Lord to arise and have mercy upon Zion, for the time to favour her had come. Then the heathen fear the name of the Lord, when the Lord shall build up Zion, He appears in HIs glory, regarding the destitute prayer, this would be written for the generation to come, the people to be created to praise the Lord. ( for HIs mercy )

David Psalms, he intreated the Lords favour with his whole heart: to be merciful unto him according to His word.

Psalm 77:6 I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.
7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
8 Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?
9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.
10 And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.
11 I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
12 I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?
14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

Psalm 89:16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

Psalm 89:20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

Psalm 102:13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
16 When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.

Psalm 119:57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words.
58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

Solomon in Proverbs shows the knowledge of the hypocrite destroys, but through knowledge the just is delivered.

Righteousness tends to life, and those who pursue evil pursue evil to their own death.

If we diligently seek good, we procure favour, if we seek mischief ( evil) evil comes to us. ( not favour)

Proverbs 11:9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

Proverbs 11:19 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

Proverbs 11:27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

Isaiah speaks from the Lord, of favour being shown to the wicked, but they will not learn righteousness, in the land of uprightness they deal unjustly, not beholding the majesty of the Lord.

The Lord sees the travail of HIs Anointed soul, and is satisfied, by the knowledge of the Lords righteous servant He justifies many by bearing their iniquities. ( the Lords favour.)

Daniel was brought into favour by God.

Isaiah 26:10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord.

Isaiah 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Daniel 1:9 Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

The angel of the Lord spoke to Mary she had found favour with God.

Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man.

Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

God spoke in this way to Abraham, that his seed would live in a strange land and be brought into bondage. God judges the nation that brought them into bondage, then they come forth to serve God in the place He showed to Abraham.

God gave the covenant of circumcision to Abraham, and Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob and Jacob the twelve patriarchs.

Acts 7:6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
7 And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

Acts 7:8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

God delivered Joseph out of his affliction and gave him favour, in the sight of the Pharaoh of Egypt, and made Joseph governor over Egypt.

The fathers came out of Egypt, into the possessions of the Gentiles, who God drove out unto the days of David, who found favour before God.

Acts 7:10 And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

Acts 7:45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
