Have any of you seen the 1962 movie, The Miracle Worker?
Miss Sullivan works so hard, perservered, never gave up, to get Helen Keller to “seeâ€, to make the connection between finger spelling words, and understanding that the word means something.
Finally, the light goes on in Helen’s mind, her understanding is opened, she “seesâ€. Helen understands that the water coming from the pump is w-a-t-e-r.
As I watched that, it seemed to be allegorical, to see the struggle for the minds and hearts of lost people, people who don’t understand who Jesus is, or Jesus’s love, and how He paid the price for their sins, so that God, who so very much loved them, wants them to belong to HIM, through His Son, Jesus Christ! John 3:16
He gave them a free gift, of love,the ultimate sacrifice, His only Son, and Jesus rose from the dead, conquering everything that might keep us from the love of the Father, God in Heaven. All a person has to do is repent, and ask Jesus to save them. Romans 10:9-11
I pray for that one lost soul, that person in blindness and spiritual darkness, that one who is struggling to find the Way, the one who is being kept blind and deaf by the evil one, the devil, the devil who wants to destroy them, I pray that the lost soul will CHOOSE Jesus, and be set free from the chains of sin, death, and hell, the chains of spiritual darkness, and be set free by choosing Jesus Christ as their Lord and SAVIOUR.
