We feel sorry for the ones who die young. Their life too short. But what about the youngest in a family who outlives all the others. Has to watch each person die in their family, even their partner. If they have no kids, they might die with no loved one.
Courage and strength required for these people. God must give these a special blessing. How sad it must be for a person to die in an aged care facility and only vaguely known by nurses and staff. No close relative nearby.
That's why we have a responsibility to others, not just our family. We might be called to be someone's "close" friend in their last hours.Loneliness has always been a common disease. But maybe it is getting worse in our technological way of life.
May we all be sensitive to each other and realise their suffering might be worse than ours.

The elderly need more care.

That's why people need a Friend in Jesus... We can bare to be alone when we know we are never alone.. And yes in this age of instant world wide communication more and more people are lonely... The love of many is growing cold...
