The Pillar of Cloud is the Rapture
When Jesus Christ comes back in the clouds to rapture all of his faithful he will be doing it as he was in the desert when he led all the newly liberated Hebrew slaves through the desert to the “Promised Land”.
Jesus Christ led all the Israelite's through the desert as a pillar of flame by night and a pillar of cloud by day. When Jesus Christ, as the pillar of light and the pillar of cloud in the desert, became God incarnate he once again lead the Israelites (hint: the 12 disciples as the 12 tribes of Israel) to the “Promised Land”. That promised land was Jesus Christ himself for Jesus Christ became a man and we all know that God created man from the dust of the ground.
When Jesus Christ was leading all the Israelite's through the desert as a Pillar of Light and a Pillar of Cloud he was leading them to the very ground that would become his body and also the place of his death and resurrection.
At the rapture when Jesus Christ comes again for all of his faithful in the clouds he will once again be leading his faithful to the promised land by taking all of them up to heaven! Jesus Christ is the Promised Land, as his body is made from the Promised Land, and when Jesus comes back in the clouds he is leading all of his faithful by being the Pillar of Cloud!
Today we are living in the darkness of sin for which Jesus Christ is the Pillar of Light. At the rapture every believer will be drawn up to be with Christ for Jesus Christ will then become the Pillar of Cloud!
God Bless
note: When Jesus was resurrected up to be with God the Father he took the Promised Land with him (hint: as himself) as he was made from the dust of the ground of the Promised Land! Jesus Christ was sinless and therefore Jesus Christ was the only 'promised land ground' that God the Father could claim as his own. God the Father had a claim on any sinless ground which was his own Son Jesus Christ. Therefore God the Father could resurrect his son once his sinless son was placed in the ground after his death on the cross. Sinless ground belongs with God in heaven (hint: The Garden of Eden), not here on this sinful earth!
