I think I mentioned the Temple Institute's web site before in passing on other end times posts, but I thought I'd create a special thread that focused on this future temple the Jews are preparing:

First they obtained the land this past century, then Jerusalem, one day the temple will be rebuilt. I am impressed and decided to contribute to become a member.

Look over the site. They not only show the implements they are making, but temple blueprint plans (and a virtual tour) and education regarding the temple.

This is gonna sound like a slam. Why ever would a christian want to do anything to support something as antichrist a temple built for blood sacrifice?

i believe that isreal will build a temple in an attempt to reach the lord and return to the ot ways but will be lied to by the ac.

i wont support that endeavor.

Oh, you are totally correct. The contribution I made will go toward the temple that the AC will do his abomination thing in. I am totally aware of that. Maybe I was not so tongue-in-cheek with my answer #3. And the truth is, before the natural people of Israel can see Messiah, they have to go through this, first. Prophecy demands it, and I support them. I'm open-minded enough to help people out in their religious belief even if I don't follow that way --- I helped a young Muslim woman in her faith where I work. That's true diversity that the world does not truly know how to give out, but wished it had the spirit that it could.

Yes. Multitudes (of nations) that the rest of the Israelites became. And there's multitudes more that have not. But for those who have not, the Lord is not done with them yet as He stated:


If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

I would like Tim to explain how Jason can be Christian when the new temple has not been built? Jason is a natural born Hebrew. That brings to mind St Paul , Peter, John goodness a host of others.

There are some serious road blocks to the Third Temple idea, so even though it is the current belief that the Jews will build a Third Temple I would not count on it happening for sure.
 
Solomon Zerubbabel and King Herod three temples not counting the tabernacles of Moses and David

Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

The temple built by Solomon was commanded by God to be built by people in the will of God, the temple of Zerubbabel was commanded by God to be built by people in the will of God. King Herod fixed up and added on to the Temple built by Zerubbabel and that expansion was NOT ordained by God and it was destroyed just a short time after it was completed. There is a real problem with Christ rejecting Jews out of the will of God building an actual temple of God,I just can't see how it could happen. I realize we have the abomination of desolation and the man of sin entering the temple of God, however the temple of God described by Paul would be the actual dwelling place of God,not an easy place to make when the dwelling place of God is in His church.

we are the temple of God. That's spiritual. The temple I'm talking about is physical which was a type --- the rest of the Jewish people did not get there yet. I'm not saying the sacrifices that will occur will have validity for personal salvation --- they never did even before Christ. Sacrifices back then were like paper money pointing to one intrinsically valuable enough to pay the sin penalty one day.

What you have to realize is the bible speaks in dualistic tones. First is the physical, and it points to (or works along with) the spiritual. This is why when I talk about "God's chosen people Israel" I get all kinds of flack because as soon as I say chosen or elect = salvation. No it does not. The tabernacle, and later on the temple were physical manifestations of Christ in typical form. Along with that were Abrahamic and Davidic promises that promised them land, a nation, many nations, many physical descendants, Kings and whatnot which was a literal Kingdom. But you don't hear a word about salvation (because they were under the old Mosaic Law) until Christ came. So, they had (and still have) the promises of these things without the Christ. The icing on the cake so-to-speak will be when Christ adds the spiritual component they all need so that physical-spiritual come together and makes sense. Just because there is a spiritual component does not negate physical reality, nor does it imply the two don't work together.

This is why Jews don't take kindly to Christians trying to convert them when they perceived them to take over and Gentilized their scriptures. The Jews been practicing them for years and then a johnny-come-lately comes along who barely understands the feasts, the sacrifices, the service of the temple and the life of these people and is going to tell them how to interpret their scriptures. Worse yet, the Gentile never participated in any of their practices. I understand where the Jews are coming from. I really do.
 
The Hebrews 'got' their first temple ( Moses' Tabernacle) about 1500 years before Jesus was born. The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed about 70 ad. They have been with out the sacrificial system longer now then they had the temples including the tabernacles.

I get from your posts.... a running together of the natural and spiritual. as in parallel. I believe the physical was for then and the spiritual is now.

well i could answer that.

its called the blood of the lamb that was slain, but that being said the temple isnt for the christian or to save the hebrew

they think it is when they build it.

but in fact its not.

please try to understand that is what i mean.

the hebrew is trying to reach the lord to get his attention so that he will send the messiah to save them.
