The Prometheus Movie: Alien Gospel Deception

Prometheus, a movie coming out in summer 2012, directed by legendary director Ridley Scott, has drawn much of its inspiration from the 'Alien Gospel', also known as the 'Ancient Astronaut Theory'; which states that aliens at some point in the distant past, created humanity and are responsible for the advanced knowledge held by ancient civilizations. This type of theory, which is being promoted heavily in movies and television, completely denies God and helps to prepare the world for a Satanic deception.

I agree with AnberlinFan. So the movie uses the alien seed theory to develop a plot point around, I don't find that particularly disturbing. And I must admit that I am intrigued by the trailer. I have a very hard time believing that there are people out there who, some years from now, will come across the alien seed theory and think, "You know, I remember that Ridley Scott sci-fi film, Prometheus, had something about this in it. It must be true!"

What is more disturbing is that some atheists think that this theory, even if it were true, does anything to answer the abiogenesis questions raised by many scientists both within and without the intelligent design movement.
