I am curious how the players here interpret Acts 3:19-26.

:waving

The proper interpretation is better understood when one uses the correct translation. In this case, restoration is really restitution.

Acts 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

I also take into account Acts 3:23:

And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Finally, there is a calling to turn from our iniquities:

Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Universal reconciliation is not a well received doctrine and it's not taught on this site. :yes

Water takes the path of least resistance - What does the "Restitution of ALL THINGS" mean to the Administration?

:wave

vic i have read the book of acts a few times and never seen this.

interesting this is talking about men who are saved being with God forever on the earth. when its all said and done.

So, rather than us playing semantic games maybe you could look up the Greek word translated "restitution" SnowCat and then we can discuss its meaning here. Maybe that will help by doing a word study.

Do you know how to use Strong's concordance?

You can use the online version here: http://www.htmlbible.com/sacrednamebiblecom/kjvstrongs/index2.htm. Click on Acts, select chapter 3, and find your verse and you should be able to click on the word you are looking for.

605 in Greek = Apokatastasis. Restoration - Restitution, same thing.

Blue Letter Bible - Lexicon

Apokatastasis was the main Doctrine of Origen.

:D

The real issue is what does ALL THINGS mean to the moderators of this board?

this can only happen to the saints and no one else and that is when the kingdom has arrived or if we as indivuals are dead in christ.

for to be absent in body is to present with the lord.

its not in our lifetimes on this earth that we will see this, unless we are alive when the messiah comes.

An incohesive answer. You are not answering what the Restoration of ALL THINGS means.

Are you saying that you believe in the Restoration of SOME THINGS? Most of religious world does.

all things when are in the kingdom and the kingdom is on this earh ie new heaven and new earth,\

that occurs after the return of christ and satan is destroyed once and for all.

then only then, not now, not fully in heaven

we arent meant to be in heaven forever.

in fact that is all over the end times . we are made to live on the earth and God didnt change that , he let us foul the earth up and has redeemed those who will listen to him and restore them in due time to the earth in paradise.

see revalation 20.

VERY VERY WRONG.

It clearly states, CHRIST IS HELD IN THE HEAVENS UNTIL THE RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS.
Acts 3:20-21

New Earth Administration
after The Order of Melchizedek

uh, i just said that! that is AFTER the millenial reign. Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number [is] as the sand of the sea.

9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are]. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is [the] [Book] of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them [and] [be] their God.

4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."

and take note that after is the destruction of satan does this occur.

Uploading the scriptures does not prove your point...you need to offer a detailed analysis of your theory. Don't bother though, it will be another misguided ideology.

You still have not explained what ALL THINGS means.

Tis a scary things for all those Eternal Damnationists out there.

no, it does, and universalism ie what you are teaching is wrong, for once you die and arent in christ, you cannot be saved and cant enter the kindgom

so according to you that then devil is saved. and judas the son of perdition?

and what of this verse

rev 20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire

and in context.

john 3:16

" for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son that whomsever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life"

and john 3:18
"he that belivieth is not condemned:but he that believeth is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

and this verse here that speaks of the unbelievers fate

rev 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are]. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

sounds like those poor souls arent restored, but are rather condemned.

Those scriptures are easily explained, they are not the topic at hand at this time.

You are still seriously avoiding what the RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS means.
