View attachment 2853Our cognitive minds...who can tame them? A control center God created in each of us; the root core of all we are and feel. Though the architect was God, the builder is our attitudes, dreams, wants, and demands.
The Lord Jesus has created many copies of Heavenly origin here on earth. Each of which had to be exact representations of the Heavenly original.
The Ark Noah built (for in my house, the Eternal Salvation of your souls, are many rooms), the Tabernacle in the wilderness, the Arc of the Covenant, the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, the sacred utensils, Jesus...God in the flesh, the Great I AM, our minds...yes, I did say our minds.
We are made in the image of God, and within each of us is the eternal instinct of knowing who and what God is as well as our duty to serve Him.
Jesus says in the Gospel of John: "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in Me. There is more than enough room in My Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with Me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going." [John 14:1-4]
Jesus also said, "You won't be able to say, 'Here it is!' or 'It's over there!' For the Kingdom of God is already among (or within) you. " [Luke 17:21]
Therefore if the Kingdom of God is within us, we are or should be, an exact copy of that Kingdom. And since that is the case our minds contain many rooms.
Our cognitive minds contain the rooms of our Godly principles, our faith, our Spiritual gifts, and our Eternal testimonies, including our earthly memories, our feelings, and our hopes, and sadly the room, or rooms at the end of the hall. This area is a dark and foreboding place that we try to avoid, at least consciously, yet somehow for most of us, frequent all too often. These rooms hold the anger, the hateful feelings of unforgiveness, the lust of our flesh (our idolatry), the rebellion against God, the vengeful demands of our selfish nature...our sin.
Since our cognitive minds are the control center of our beings we need to be sure that they represent the exact original in Heaven. If they don't, we need to do some major remolding. Since Jesus is the architect of our minds, we need to allow Him to re-build the house; this is something we are unable to do. How can a sinful nature build a Holy one?
The room at the end of the hall needs the Light of the Glory of God. And for this to happen each of us needs to place the Light of God on a stand.
Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew, ""You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. " [Matthew 5:14-15]
Though God provides the Light, we must place the Light in each of the rooms at the end of the hall. For where the Light is darkness cannot dwell.
"For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. "
"There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world (into our cognitive minds), but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil (allow the darkness to remain) hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. " [John 3:16-21]
God has created many earthly copies with Heavenly origin. We are one of those copies. How can an earthly mansion enter a Heavenly one? Do we reflect the Heavenly original in our daily lives, or do we need to allow Jesus to do some remodeling?
Ask Jesus to make you and exact representation of His likeness.
Blessings,
