The Testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy and the spirit of prophecy is....
Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, "See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
The spirit of prophecy is....the testimony of Jesus!
Mark 9:11-13 And they asked Him, saying, "why say the scribes that Elias must first come?" And He answered and told them, "Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that He must suffer many things, and be set at nought. But I say unto you, that Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him."
And who is Elias/Elijah who has "indeed come?"
Luke 1:17 And he (John the Baptist) shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the LORD."
Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."
Elias the prophet comes in the spirit and power or.....in the spirit of prophecy ( the Word ) or...Elias is the testimony of Jesus Christ. And....He, The Word, that Testimony, has indeed come.
Matthew 11:12-15 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by FORCE. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
How can the violent take the kingdom of heaven by force and what does that have to do with the spirit of prophecy....Elias?
Luke 17:20-21 And when He was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, 'Lo, here!' or, 'lo there!' for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."
The kingdom of God is within us....IF....we receive the spirit of Elias, IF we receive the testimony of Jesus Christ. And, as we live in His kingdom NOW, for His kingdom is here NOW in us, then...the violent (will/are/have been) trying to take us by force. This is so :shocked :shocked! . What does "force" mean?

Matthew 17:10-13 And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?" And Jesus answered and said unto them, "Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them." Then the disciples understood that He spake unto them of John the Baptist.
But...were the disciples correct in their understanding?
Luke 1:19-21 And this is the record of John, (John the Baptist) when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who art thou?" And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, "I am not the Christ." And they asked him, "What then? Art thou Elias?" And he saith, "I am not." "Art thou that prophet?" And he answered , "No."
Elias has "come already," in the testimony of Jesus and....they knew him not. They twist that Word or "have done unto him whatsoever they listed." False doctrine, false teaching...deception, deception, deception!
