The Spirit Saves

Could someone be saved outside the Holy Spirit?

Is the Holy Spirit a gift?

What is salvation?

Why should we not judge?

I think we should know the answer to these questions before we try to win someone over to Christ...

What are the answers?

I'll take a crack at these OatseyBabes,

Could someone be saved outside the Holy Spirit?

No.

4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Is the Holy Spirit a gift?

Grace is a gift. The Holy Spirit is one person of the Godhead.

4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ

What is salvation?

Belief in Christ and Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned.

Why should we not judge?

Coz we're told not to.

7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

How'd I do?

Doc.

Ask a member of a weird cult

Is there a life on earth that is as good as life in union with the holy spirit. i don't suppose so

I agree with the above except for salvation. The word just means to save someone from something.

If you read it every time it's mentioned it's obvious that it doesn't mean eternal life as a blanket statement.

The Holy Spirit performs a Saving work for those who Christ has redeemed by His blood.

titus 3:

<SUP id=en-KJV-29929 class=versenum>5</SUP>Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

But this work of His did not save the elect from the penalty of their sins, Jesus death alone did that, for the Holy Ghost did not die for their sins.

titus 3:

5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;.........

.......so that being justified by grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Perhaps you should quote the whole thing next time.

I quoted what was relevant !

no, you quoted half the passage to back up your point, even though the other half proved it wrong.

I quoted what was relevant ! The rest of the passage said nothing to disprove it.
