In this thread, I would like to post and discuss various videos and articles concerning Judaism and what the leaders of Judaism teach.

This rabbi calls for the death of all Christians and blasphemes Jesus Christ as a deceiver.

First, this is not the sentiment of all Jewish thought. Just like Christianity, there are a variety of views. So, let's talk about this specific individual, and not paint all Jews with the same brush. You would not like it if I accused you of Mary worship and demanded that you indeed worshipped Mary because Christians worship Mary and your a Christian. Thus, you worship Mary, or your not a Christian. You see my point.

Jesus Christ is not the Messiah.

In other words a Jew or proselyte must repent of Judaism in order to confess Jesus Christ as Lord.


We love the Jewish people.

The Bible tells us salvation is from the Jews.

Jesus and Paul and the writers of all scripture were Jewish.


What is just as true is those who practice Judaism the religion, murdered Jesus Christ.

The law of Moses was to point them to Christ.


Judaism was designed to blind them from recognizing the Messiah.


Christians need to understand the basic fact that the religion of Judaism rejects Jesus as a false teacher and rejects Him as Messiah.

You would not like it if I accused you of Mary worship and demanded that you indeed worshipped Mary because Christians worship Mary and your a Christian.

Here is what the scripture teaches us:


Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22


People who worship Mary are idolaters.

Idolaters must repent of idolatry.

But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. Revelation 9:20-21


He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:7-8

Judaism is not the law of Moses.

Judaism is a man made religion and is a mixture of the law of Moses and the (traditions) teachings of man.


For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. Galatians 1:13-14

Tradition is teaching. Teaching of man.


But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Matthew 15:5-6


Tradition - Strongs G3862 - paradosis

1. giving up, giving over
   1. the act of giving up
   2. the surrender of cities
2. a giving over which is done by word of mouth or in writing, i.e. tradition by instruction, narrative, precept, etc.
   1. objectively, that which is delivered, the substance of a teaching
   2. of the body of precepts, esp. ritual, which in the opinion of the later Jews were orally delivered by Moses and orally transmitted in unbroken succession to subsequent generations, which precepts, both illustrating and expanding the written law, as they did were to be obeyed with equal reverence

This is where the oral tradition or teachings come from which are embodied in the Talmud.


The botton line.

Judaism as a religion rejects Jesus as Messiah.

what that religion teaches.

Judaism 101


13 Principles of Faith
The closest that anyone has ever come to creating a widely-accepted list of Jewish beliefs is Rambam's thirteen principles of faith. These principles, which Rambam thought were the minimum requirements of Jewish belief, are:

1. G-d exists
2. G-d is one and unique
3. G-d is incorporeal
4. G-d is eternal
5. Prayer is to be directed to G-d alone and to no other
6. The words of the prophets are true
7. Moses' prophecies are true, and Moses was the greatest of the prophets
8. The Written Torah (first 5 books of the Bible) and Oral Torah (teachings now contained in the Talmud and other writings) were given to Moses
9. There will be no other Torah
10. G-d knows the thoughts and deeds of men
11. G-d will reward the good and punish the wicked
12. The Messiah will come
13. The dead will be resurrected

As you can see, these are very basic and general principles. Yet as basic as these principles are, the necessity of believing each one of these has been disputed at one time or another, and the liberal movements of Judaism dispute many of these principles.


As we see number 12 is the problem.

Messiah
Anglicization of the Hebrew, "mashiach" (anointed). A man who will be chosen by G-d to put an end to all evil in the world, rebuild the Temple, bring the exiles back to Israel and usher in the world to come. It is better to use the Hebrew term "mashiach" when speaking of the Jewish messiah, because the Jewish concept is very different from the Christian one.

Judaism is not the law of Moses.

The law of Moses was given to the children of Israel until the Seed should and establish the New Covenant.


Judaism is a mixture of the law of Moses and the teachings of man.


God did not give the Talmud to Israel, He gave them the law of Moses.


Catholicism is to the Christian Faith as Judaism is to the law.


Catholicism embraced and encouraged Hitler.


God did not give us Catholicism.

God gives covenant relationship, not religion.

Jesus is our Covenant.


“I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness,
And will hold Your hand;
I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the Gentiles,

On the flip side, Catholicism and antisemitism are road blocks to reaching the Jews for Jesus.


Most Jews think Christians are under the Pope and that all Christians hate Jews.


They think Christianity is a Gentile religion.


Salvation is from the Jews.


Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
John 4:21-22


The scriptures were written by Jews.

Even Luke who was a Hellenistic Jew

So true and well said.

Im a big believer in reading the scriptures and allowing the Holy Spirit, to teach me.

However, there are some here who desire to learn from the teachers of Judaism, and mix their beliefs with the teachings of Christ.


I’m just trying to show what the religion of Judaism and those who practice it, teach about Jesus.


Judaism rejects Jesus as the Messiah.


One would have to turn away from Judaism, to be a follower of Jesus Christ, yet there are some who believe Jesus and Paul required Gentiles to be circumcised and keep the law of Moses in order to be justified.
