so which is the third greatest commandment or are the all equal for it seems "to break one is to break all" - any comments -twinc

how about the biggest enemy of mankind - twinc

Ask Yeshua how satan fits into his command to love your enemies. I personally do not think he was including spirit beings in that command.

but what has that also got to do with the original post and query - twinc

You asked what the third greatest commandment was. I suggested "love your enemies". Unless I misunderstood you, you then asked about Satan. You tell me what that has to do with the OP. You brought it up. Or are you saying my post #2 has nothing to do with the OP?

Well...Commandment #3 is:
You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.

I hear people taking the Lord's name in vain all the time.Even people who say they are a Christian.

twinc did not ask about the third commandment, but the third "greatest" commandment. The Greatest is "Love Yahweh ...". The second greatest is "Love thy neighbor ..." The third greatest is open to personal opinion. My opinion is "love your enemies". What is your opinion or are you saying the third commandment is the third greatest commandment?

no I am not saying the third is the third greatest - I am asking which is the third greatest - there is none of the ten commandments that says 'love your enemies - twinc

What is the difference?A commandment is a commandment?Do we have our own commandments?

Somehow, we are having a failure to communicate. I know you were not saying the third is the third greatest. I suspected that Kathi thought that.

You did not require the third greatest commandment to be one of the Ten in your OP. In fact, neither the greatest, nor the second greatest commandments are from the Ten. So why can't love your enemies be the third greatest?

I am asking which is the third greatest in the Decalogue - known or unknown and in your opinion and why ? - twinc

This thread just seems too overly argumentative and antagonistic to develop into anything edifying. It seems opinions were asked for just so those giving them can be criticized for answering. I'm closing it.

Obadiah.
