Many in the religious world do not agree on the Scriptures witness of rebirth and born again regeneration. Those that are eager to please God by self effort to show they stand with God, usually do it at their own convenience. It makes them feel like they are right with God because of their stance for God. But I'am a witness to the truth of the Scripture of regeneration, if to no other than Christ. I will tell you some time how the Lord revealed many truths to bring me to maturity if you are interested.
I don't understand.
Are you saying that everyone here who stands for Christ is not born again and we"re trying to get salvation by our works?

NO. God is not looking for people to be on His side. He is finishing what He intended (1 Cor. 15:12-58)

Who's side should we be on?

Who is not against us is for us.
Who is not for us is against us.
Mark 9:40

HE will finish what He intended.
It is for us to decide if we are on His side or on the side of some other.

That would be interesting but I think it should be a thread of it's own.

Hi Wondering, You have to live with what you understand and be faithful to it. As long as you have trusted and are a born again believer in Christ by faith, you have the same standing before The Lord as Paul or any other saint. (Saint means you are sanctified) It really means you are set apart from the world by God in Jesus Christ. But our state (maturity) is not as instant as our standing. Faith alone in Christ gives us our standing. But maturity comes by trial from fighting the good fight over time.

My point is that you should not count being for Christ as being saved. If you have not been born again, you are still who you were, for it is the Holy Spirit that build the temple, all praising God in one voice (1 Cor. 6:19) (Rom. 15:16) (Eph. 1:17) (Rev. 1:6). This is what God does to the Born again believer, Gives us His Spirit.. This is Salvation, and covers all that God has done in Jesus The Christ. I hope this helps you understand what I was explaining in the other post. Not that is is wrong to be for Christ, but being for Christ is not being saved.

Douglas Summers, I count being for Christ as being saved.
I would love to discuss that with you, in your own thread.
But there is nothing in the OP that talks about this.
Therefore, you are derailing my thread and that's against the rules.
And, as we know, a good Christian will try hard not to break the rules.
So I would appreciate it if you take your salvation message to the appropriate thread.
Thank you.

When you start your thread can you give the verse that says the "one is not a temple until the Holy Spirit builds it." thanks

I guess we can't agree here.
If it weren't for the Crusaders, Europe would be totally Muslim.
It took them to get Muslims out of here.

BUT - they're back. The Muslims, I mean. They say that by 2050 all of Europe will be Muslim.
So, yes, I think that one day I may REALLY have to stand up for Christ. And maybe even forfeit my life - who knows what's coming down the road.

There are those who say not to worry about tomorrow. That's nice when you live in Connecticut.
But when you live somewhere where the danger is at hand, you tend to see things in a different light.
Everything becomes more immediate - Today IS Tomorrow.

Are you aware that many have already given their lives for the Christian faith? Even those who aren't even believers!

So yes. I think it's time to take a stand, as the O.P. has stated.

Wondering
Interesting observation and to be honest it's one that I agree with.

My son went to uni 4 weeks ago. Two days before we took him he was in tears. I thought it was about uni but it wasn't. He was petrified that God was going to send him to a non Christian country where he would be tortured and killed. These thoughts actually came out of a big youth conference that is held once a year called New Day (google it) we talked about it and he is still freaked by it but not as muCH as he was over the last 8 weeks. Funnily enough it's worse when? When he comes before God or wants to go to church or Christian Union. This is a heavy burden for a 18 year old to carry. To be honest I was very annoyed that it seemed the focus at New Day in his age group even broached the subject of God sending them to unchurched country's, that's my assumption of what happened.

When I led a youth group of 150+ kids it involved fun, games and teaching that was based on foundations of faith.

Anyway I won't go into our conversations, but I did say to him we have to be more concerned about the agenda of the fanatics of Muslims in Europe, in our country the U.K.

Over here in the U.K Muslim councils around the country and have made it clear that they want to establish their own Muslim Government and establish sharia laws. That's the extreme but I'm sure if allowed and not stopped it will become a reality.
