Revelation Of The Person Of The King


13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

It seems of late that the true church, meaning the body of Christ in which it has always been since the day of Pentecost, is within us as it always has been. We are the body of Christ without denominations/non-denominations, without handed down traditions of man in the doctrines they teach that comes against the doctrines of Christ. I believe God's true Church is the example of the Church of Philadelphia we read about in Rev 3:7-13. The other six churches had to be corrected by God for the things they were doing or not doing. This is what we need is to yield to God's correction when we sway away from that straight and narrow path.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

You are correct Sister

In a sense we are the church without four walls as we are the Temple of God, even in forums as we share the word of God with the world.

1Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Cor 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
