The truth of the Resurrection

This month, Christians around the world will celebrate the resurrection of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. Duringt this sppecial time of year, consider taking some time to sit with your family and study what the Bible teaches about the resurrection.

AN ETERNAL REDEMPTION: The book of Hebrews describes what Jesus did for us through the shedding of His blood.

Hebrews 9:11-12: 11. But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of His creation. 12. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained Eternal Redemption.

Under the Old Covenant, the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies once a year and offered the blood of innocent animals slain as a sacrifice for the sins of the people. Thus, the people's sins would be covered for another year.

But Christ entered in once and for all. This is one act He never has to repeat. He entered the Holy of Holies only one time to obtain eternal redemption for us. His blood is the guasranty of our redemption.

The nature in humans that causes us to sin had to be dealt with. Under the New Covenant, Jesus dealt with that sin nature. He took that nature away by the sacrifice of Himself. The destruction of our sin nature required that God's beloved Son became sin for us. Jesus became what we were. He took our spiritual death so we might have eternal life. He took our outlawed nature so we might become children of God.

How marvelous is the unmeasured grace of God as unveiled in the sacrifice of Jesus. Jesus carried His own blood into the Heavenly Holy of Holies, thus canceling the need for the High Priest to make an annual atonement. Instead, Jesus gave us eternal redemption. It is because of His death, burial, and resurrection that we can be born again.

Saints, Don't we serve a good God? A God that is worthy to be praised. He inhabitts the praise of His people. He has made us complete in Christ. We are victorious in Christ. He set us free from the bondage of sin. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Jesus did it all.

Let's lift up Holy Hands unto the Lord. Jump up and down with a shout of joy. Praise God. PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM. What a God we serve. Sing unto the Lord.

May God bless, Golfjack

Good post, golfjack!

We all must be reminded of this, especially this Holy Week, where on Holy Thursday, He gave us the fruits of that sacrifice that would occur on the very next day, Good Friday, "good" because our salvation was then realized by his spilled blood for us all!

God bless you and yours on this Holy Resurrection Day next Sunday!

Christus Vincit! Christus Regnat! Christus Imperat!

The entire Chapter of 1 Corinthians 15 gives the consequences of denying the ressurection and also the glorious effects in light of the fact that it really happened.

Paul rightly said, "For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile" (1 Cor 15:16-17). But thank the Lord that we have the hope of the ressurection of the dead in us! This was Paul's hope. He said as much in defense of himself before the Sanhedrin saying, "I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust" (Acts 24:15). Paul lived in light of that each day, forgetting what was behind and instead pressing ahead toward the mark and the upward calling of God. Even Jesus endured the cross for the joy of the hope of the future resurrection and redemption of his people, "Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross" (Hebrews 12:2).

God Bless,

~Joshua

Neh 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Blessing and honor and glory and power and strength and praise be unto His Holy Name!

Because He lives ~ I can face tomorrow!
