I don't think I said that at any time. You're making assumptions. All I'm saying is that God never created any creatures for the purpose of being our pets. We did that.

Probably not. But today in Western society pets have replaced humans (in many cases) as deserving of more care and affection. They even have funerals for pets, and some Christians have the bizarre notion that they will meet their pets in Heaven.

I believe that it would be even more bizarre if we didn't. God knows how much we love our pets and how much they love us so why wouldn't we see them again? I highly doubt that He would ever separate us forever.

God did not create any animals for the purpose of being our pets. We created the pets by our actions of domesticating or imprisoning some. We have them domesticated so they will stay near our homes, we imprison some in fenced in pastures and corrals, we keep them in cages and glass containers, we keep them in barns, we keep them in zoos, and so forth. That is not what God intended or meant. God provided them and us with the world in which to live.

Cow,nor horse can lawfully be allowed to roam your local highway for their and your protection.

I grew up seeing cattle ,horse riders riding along some main through fares, recently the street I live on ,I used to read routes where cows,sheep and horses would watch me,treats is what they wanted

We were planning on cooking him up for stew.

The owner came unglued. He took the turtle out to Radnor lake/pond and turned it loose.
(I know right? Another ecological disaster in the making)
But today Radnor lake is covered in turtles...we had to avoid a turtle stampede out there by walking briskly.

Turtles aren't much fun as pets. They don't move much at all. Buy a paperweight that looks like a turtle...put it in a fish tank bowl with rocks and a stick. And you are all set!

The other white meat ,cooter is good.i had a snapping turtle for lunch years ago. Fresh out of the river. Caught cooked, by my fil.

Now I'll answer your question about what I think about pets. We have two dogs, four horses, a few barn cats, and for a time we also had a rabbit and some fish. The cats are free to come and go as they please. The rabbit was kept in a cage. The fish were kept in an aquarium. The dogs are somewhat free to come and go as they please. They let us know when they want to go outside and we let them out. They are not on a leash nor do we have an invisible fence so if they were to choose to leave, they could. Our horses are kept in a pasture most of the time but occasionally when the weather is not so good we will bring them inside.

In my opinion, if we had to chain our dogs to keep them, I would not want to keep them. That's just my opinion about how I would keep a dog. Our horses are given pasture to protect them from roaming onto roadways where they could get hurt and so they don't cause damage to the neighbors or their property. They are not allowed to roam free so in that way they are in fact, imprisoned.

I do not judge others for keeping pets so long as they are treated well. But, what I think about keeping pets has nothing to do with my original question.

Thank you for answering my question I really appreciate it, and the answer to your question it really just depends. I mean God might not have intended for domesticated animals to be pets but He also gave them the DNA or genes to be able to be domesticated.

Man sin ,put the fear of man in beasts.we arent meant to eat animals originally.

Any meat we eat can and has been tamed
Pet cows,pigs,chickens,and so forth I have heard.my wife was raised to slaughter these .never name them if you are gonna eat them

I can't say that I agree with you on that one as that's the only purpose that I can think of for those animals.

Pigs are better then dogs for guarding at times,bred mini pigs make pets,I had a few encounters with pet pigs .

Geese are great guard as they make noises and you wont know they are there. Been there and owner confronted me over that.

Calves when killed in front of their mother
,she will mourn and it's not like by the rancher,Veal is calf meat. Turkeys,emu,pets and edible as are peacocks. All of which I had fun watching as they would be near me on a certain route.

At least two. Cats and dogs. The evidence is that both of these chose to associate with man, at least as much as man chose to associate with them. The archeological and genetic evidence suggests that they each found a reason to develop a symbiotic relationship with man.

Dogs obviously benefit from association with human hunters; a team of men and dogs is far more capable at taking prey than either is without the other. We've been together long enough to have co-evolved. Humans are the most doglike primates, and dogs are them most primate-like canids.

Cats seem to have been attracted to human settlements as rodents began to infest grain storage. As any farm boy knows, a barn cat does not belong to humans; he comes and goes as he pleases on equal terms with the farmer. While man and cat may be fond of each other, the relationship is based on mutual benefit.
