The Voice of the Holy Spirit

It's never a good idea to place God in a box.

God is in a "box". He is in you.

We are dealing with the Mystery of God. The Holy Spirit speaks BOTH on behalf of the Father, and of the Son, and also on behalf of Himself.

If that were true, it would have been explained here, but it was not. This truth in John 16:13-14 is not being applied towards how the Holy Spirit speaks through out scripture and so only He at that throne of grace can narrow the way back to the straight gate since Jesus is the only way to God the Father.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.....
3 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All modern Bibles testified plainly that the Holy Spirit WILL NOT speak for Himself but you guys seem to be treating that as if "Did God really say that?"

Scripture teaches us to pray TO the Father THROUGH the Son and BY the Holy Ghost. Christ intercedes for us while the Holy Spirit prays for us and with us.

The Holy Spirit has intercessions but He cannot pray them or give them. This is why Jesus is needed to know the mind of the Spirit as it also in according to the will of God in having the Son as the only Mediator between God and men... that means the Holy Spirit is not also a Mediator when only Jesus is.

The glory of the Holy Spirit speaking, the Holy Spirit would give that glory to the Son.

He can't speak directly. He can only speak through others.

He speaks what He hears is explaining that He does not speak His own words.
Not so! When I reached the point that I was broken the Holy Spirit spoke to me. I do not mean that if you had been shoulder to shoulder you might have heard it but He spoke and I heard Him.

When others hear God's voice they say they hear other things too...like harp music and rushing water or wind...

I could have sworn I heard Willie Nelson and "On The Road Again" and a wheezy voice sound like a smoker or someone out of breath makes....
But I can't swear to it.

I have heard Him too, but I acknowledge scripture that testify how the Holy Spirit speaks to us, by relaying what He has heard from Christ Jesus:

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. KJV

The words spoken by the Spirit of Christ now can only come from Christ.

When someone is led by the Spirit of Christ to speak to you, conveying the words of Christ to you, do you speak to that preacher or minister as if he is Jesus Christ that you are responding to?

So then when we hear the Spirit speaks, those are words from the Bridegroom; and the bride should respond back to the Bridegroom; not to the Spirit. The Messenger is not the Christ, but the Spirit of Christ. The words spoken by the Spirit of Christ now can only come from Christ. He is in charge.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.....20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

No Malachi is correct. God cannot be contained. Yeah, god is in me but at the same instant He is in every Christ Follower in the world, He is not contained.

Malachi was referring to how the Holy Spirit speaks.

There is no point for Jesus saying how the Holy Spirit will speak after He has gone to the Father unless this was for our discernment on how the Holy Spirit will speak as in that is the only way He will speak.

KJV

I believe that we must take this Scripture literally and at face value.
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

CD,
I can not imagine explaining it because scripture but if one thinks a thing, all three think it. Neither tells the other.

That would be the same as taking this scripture at face value and say Peter spoke and not the Spirit of Christ in him.

Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Matthew 10: 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

We can forget to apply His words of Matthew 10:19-20 on how the Holy Ghost spoke when Jesus was on earth through His disciples to Peter in Acts 10:34 just as you so easily forget to apply John 16:13-14 to the Holy Ghost in that verse you had quoted?

There would be no need for a Mediator then. 1 Timothy 2:5

There would be no need for Jesus knowing the mind of the Spirit to make the Spirit's unspeakable intercessions known to the Father. Romans 8:26-27 KJV only

Your attempting to tie the God Head into something earth-like and that amounts to boxing God, you cannot, truly, worship god as long as you do that. What you are doing here limiting the Omnipotent God and I'm sorry, God is without limit.
