It's never a good idea to place God in a box.
God is in a "box". He is in you.
We are dealing with the Mystery of God. The Holy Spirit speaks BOTH on behalf of the Father, and of the Son, and also on behalf of Himself.
If that were true, it would have been explained here, but it was not. This truth in John 16:13-14 is not being applied towards how the Holy Spirit speaks through out scripture and so only He at that throne of grace can narrow the way back to the straight gate since Jesus is the only way to God the Father.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.....
3 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
All modern Bibles testified plainly that the Holy Spirit WILL NOT speak for Himself but you guys seem to be treating that as if "Did God really say that?"
Scripture teaches us to pray TO the Father THROUGH the Son and BY the Holy Ghost. Christ intercedes for us while the Holy Spirit prays for us and with us.
The Holy Spirit has intercessions but He cannot pray them or give them. This is why Jesus is needed to know the mind of the Spirit as it also in according to the will of God in having the Son as the only Mediator between God and men... that means the Holy Spirit is not also a Mediator when only Jesus is.
The glory of the Holy Spirit speaking, the Holy Spirit would give that glory to the Son.
