To make openly known; and appear, In the Bible, manifest is used to describe something that is evident or obvious. For example, God was manifest in the flesh, meaning that God revealed himself in human form. Manifestation is the act of uncovering or revealing something, such as the gifts of the Spirit or the glory of God.

Matthew 16:13-20

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Galatians 1:10-13

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

King James Version

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

It wouldn't let me send a direct message so I'll just put it here.

Hey brother, figured out how to send this directly. My question is this: I have many Christian friends and family. In several of these discussions the Sabbath and commandments come up in discussion. Even though I do not tell my friends and family that they need to keep the Sabbath holy, when they find out that I do they get really angry. I am not going around telling others to do as I am, and am not opposed to church on Sunday, so I don't understand why they act angry about it. I don't try to put others under the yoke (though it is easy), and don't insist on them being wrong or anything like that. I sometimes will share scripture, like 1 John 2-3, but lately I have avoided it due to my attempt not to cast a stumbling block or causing division. I've been called legalist, Pharisee, and judaizer by dear friends and family and don't know how to bridge this gap. I have a small Bible study group on Shabbat, so I am not forsaking the gathering. It is merely that I want to learn how to discuss my understanding of scripture with others in a way that doesn't offend. I know the problem must lie with me, because I have always gotten along with the folks in question. The problem never arises until I invite to one of our Sabbath studies or am asked to do work or commerce on Shabbat. Once the Sabbath is brought up, that is when the anger surfaces and I don't understand why. Thank you so much for your time and any advice you can give me would be great.
