Been listening to various scholars and theologians (which make some people cringe) and the below comment was made;

If theological perfection is a pre requisite for getting into heaven, then heaven will be a very empty place

Just found this interesting in light of many discussions on here and definitely in light of somes aforementioned disdain of theologians. We may not be perfect but some things are worth the effort.

The perfection lies rather in the Person and Work of Christ, and I think this brings us back to the Epistle of the Hebrews where the Lord Jesus is seen in all the superiority and perfection of His offices.

Heaven is repentance. Everyone gets mad at me when I say that (no one wants to repent, so everyone gets mad), so for the umpteenth time, let me give the Scripture:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV
